Too many cooks spoil a broth. Why do we need this many people to have input on building a squad? I’d be happy if others were leaving, but this seems pointless.

Can he negotiate FOS sponsor deals?

Don’t want to get too excited, but there are rumors of Stewart going to Saudi…

Fallows was Michael Edward’s main guy and brings a vast amount of experience. Can really see this benefiting us. Even more so if he’s directly replacing one of the chuckle brothers.

Klopp has said that he wouldn't manage another English club, I'd say it's more likely that he ends up Germany manager after the World Cup. Wouldn't mind another look at nagelsmann though.

If any were to leave he is the most likely. He is not ex Brighton....

No issues with Rammstein being played in the dressing room or stadium.... Wont be long before we're all singing "Bück dich", befehl ich dir
Wende dein Antlitz ab von mir

Bück dich…

Edwards and Klopp don't necessarily see eye-to-eye. Klopp and the owners didn't want Van Djik ("too old") and Klopp strongly preferred Julian Brandt over Salah, based on the data.

Good news?

Apparently he and Edwards worked hand in hand to build that Liverpool team. Allison, Fabinho, VVD, Salah, etc.

"That" Liverpool team is made out of Chelsea rejects, the club's scouts identified them long before Liverpool

but Eghbali sacked all those blokes for whatever we have now so

Our starting attacking 3 are Garnacho, Neto and Guiu.

Like, are the owners blind?

Winning a league title or CL is not a priority.

But we're not even winning in the spreadsheet league either with all the penalties that their approach has brought!

Aren't we? Do any of us have full access to the books?

Do you think we get fines and limitations placed on the club for breaching financial regulations and failing to agree FOS sponsors are signs of healthy profits?

No. Clearlake have to have a plan to make their investors money in the long term though. People like Wyss did not join blueco to lose money either.

Wyss' involvement is a strange one for me ... the guy is already 90 years old !!! He's surely more likely to be pushing up daisies than counting his dividends in 2032 ?

The only way of doing that is if the Club's value increased. At the rate that we're going, it wouldn't surprise me if this lot devalued the Club and no-one meet their valuation (ahem FOS contract ahem).

Wouldn't the stockpiling of players on long contracts be seen as long term assets, thus increasing the value?

I think the club will definitely increase in value at the end of their tenure, its just matter of how much they value the club vs what the buyer is willing to pay, just like the FOS debacle.

It all depends on the value of the assets. Players like Palmer or Estevao are going to be good assets, they could be easily be sold and for good money. Players like Sanchez, Badiashille or Disasi, are assets with little market value and on a long contract, so they will be difficult to shift for much benefit. Also, the Club should increase in value as everything in life does, but will it increase above inflation to give significant benefits to shareholders? I'm no economist and know little of these things, but I'd gather that only if the value is above inflation it can be considered benefit. If shareholder put £1m on Chelsea and 10 years later they receive £1m, they've lost money, haven't they? (Some of the money savvy people in here can clarify these things).

Also, isn't the value of something determined by how much the market is willing to pay for it? Like with the FOS, they can ask whatever price but the reality is that nobody was willing to pay for it. So, I guess it will be similar with the Club. If they've taken Chelsea to be a mid table team for 10 years, I reckon that no-one will pay much for it.

As I say, I don't know much about economy, so I hope that some others can give a better explanation of what to expect.

Plans often don't work.

Still can't fathom why they thought the club was worth £2.5 billion in the first place ... they'll do really well to get that back I reckon, let alone the extra £1.75 billion on top that they are supposed to be investing ...

Ive thought all along they believe theres a split coming where clubs will be allowed to sell their own TV rights all over the world, possibly on their own streaming platforms. thats where they see huge monetary gains, ive a feeling the Prem clubs American owners are looking to gain enough voting rights to take control of all this. There are a lot of American owners now, it can be far off being a majority.
