I didn't watch the final games but I highly doubt they threw the games away on purpose.

What plans were they? I remember reading that if Strasbourg qualified they would have qualified for the CL ahead of us due to them finishing higher in their domestic league and we would be relegated to the Europa. However I know City got to play in the same competition as Girona - so if you've got the money you can definitely make it happen unlike Crystal Palace.

With the French league being so weak at the moment we could easily have both Chelsea and Strasbourg qualifying for the CL on the regular so I hope we have a plan that's not just Strasbourg self relegating themselves to the lower competition.

I’m pretty sure we had the blind trust thing ready to set up as far back as January.

Like I said I believe that is the goal, to elevate both teams and have them been being CL regulars. Explains why there’s been such a huge turnover of players at Strasbourg as they are trying to speedrun them into being a successful French team.

As far as MCO’s go thats the best you can wish for if you are a fan of the “lesser” team.

Tbf this lesser team were doing nothing and relegation candidates, if i were a fan of them i think id be quite happy how its going by this point.

If we are short of an attacking player as a result of all the exits that are planned in the next few days and we fail to get some of the signings over the line, then i wouldnt rule out Enciso loan from Strasbourg to Chelsea - sooner rather than later.

This deal doesnt look like a Strasbourg deal to me, more like a covert purchase from notoriously high priced Brighton.

I can also see a situation where we play the multiclub loophole card to the absolute maximum. Strasbourg has a considerable number of "Chelsea" players now even more than last year. I doubt Blue Co will stop till their squad is full of Chelsea pending players. LOL at Uefa and FA trying to block it.

I don't trust anything that Brighton do and was immediately suspicious at the price set for this lad. This gives some clue i reckon.

He's only 21 and had this so far. Not sure what the effect of the meniscus tear has had on the guy's ability going forward. Is he even the same player that burst onto the scene, grabbed the attention, and created 95% of his current YT compilations

Last season he played approximately a third of a league season in terms of minutes, with 1,165 league minutes from a possible 3,420. The season before just 12% of available league minutes.

I'm just highly suspicious of how quickly this deal is being completed and how cheap this appears to be. We may well flip this lad for a profit, but triple, quadruple our money as being reported by some idiot social media experts is way off imo.

It is suspicious and a punt but I think he only had a year left on his contract so motivated sellers?

But the sporting directors again revealed to rely heavily on the strategy of ‘ex Man City academy’ or ‘Brighton’.

It was clearly a scam as he must be broken. No way would Brighton have let him go at that price unless there was something seriously amiss

That'll be Enciso's career done for then. No club will take a glance at a player who failed a medical at a club that had Wesley Fofana pass one

The difference now is that UEFA deliberately relaxed the rules to encourage multi-club models (eg RB Group) and investment. They could bring in stricter rules at any time, but refuse to.

It would be much harder now of course because the affected investors would no doubt resort to lawfare, but there's nothing actually preventing them from doing it.

Interestingly, A22, the group behind the Super League, have expressly stated they will have much stricter rules around MCO in their competition.

I look at Brighton same as Strasbourg really. Our owners are close together. We would buy Brighton if they could own multiple PL clubs 😂

Might start watching Chelsea B (Brighton) to look at future signings.
