Worrying stuff

I don't believe it really.. to my mind considering the mission of the club is to become self sustaining and a global brand why would a shrewd business man like Roman want to add to an already massively paid and overly complicated managment structure.

Can someone from the CSR Mourinho Mafia please explain how their hero is content to be Roman's bitch?

So, in your opinion every employee is the employer's bitch just because he makes them do things they don't always agree with. Ever had to work for anyone or in your words be someone's biatch, Liam???

The difference, I'm guessing, is Liam didn't declare he'd "walk" if that happened with his job. (or did you, bitch?)

If you also believe Shevchenko is Roman's signing, then this isn't the first incident that Mourinho said he'd "walk" because of. So, is Mourinho just full of it? 247.gif

BIB, a few of us who defended Mourinho from those like Liam & Enrico (or is it Henry?) who want him sacked at the end of the season now fall under Liam's classification of the "Mourinho Mafia": These are the same posters who allegedly follow Chelsea but who were otherwise silent at the end of the year before (ie. after 2 premierships in a row) about their "dissatisfaction" with Jose whereas now, last season's results/style of play were/are not good enough.

Accordingly it would now seem that whenever a story involving the Jose/Roman conflict saga arises and/or Joses' managerial control is seen (by the press) to be under threat and/or Jose says something provocative, we are likely to be entreated with comments such as Liam's above: Presumably on the basis that same is "a wind up" or "bait" to smoke the "Mafia" out of the woodwork.

So clever on Liam's/disgruntled's part don't you think?

Frankly, I never thought the day would come when I would say that I'd rather read Red Rob's posts more than some on here who claim to be Chels but I think that day has arrived.

By the way Liam, given the return to your original avatar (ie. the all knowing all seeing icon) I take it that your question was merely rhetorical as you must already know the answer to your own rather pathetic question. If so, why don't enlighten us all.

From what I know, Roman doesn't agree with the manager having so much power over the club and wants to split the responsibilities across the board, literally. I hope Grant was brought in to help the "problem" players like Sheva and Ballack, Robben even, but not tamper with JM's strategies and all round training routines.

If the article is true - about what Grant's role will be rather than just his appointment - then I don't believe that Mourinho will last the season.

What is suggested is an absolute joke. It is possible to appoint a coach who simply has the job of managing the players that the club give him, although I don't see that as being compatible with Jose's style.

Abramovich should either give Mourinho complete control over footballing matters or sack him. That doesn't mean that he has to buy whoever the manager wants at whatever price, but it does mean giving him the right to decide if he wants a player or not.

The arrangement described in the article will just lead to catastrophe!

I thought it was a bit obvious myself. It worked though - I actually got Don Youlots himself.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer. I would have thought he couldn't stand being constantly undermined in this way but I wondered whether his fanclub would have a greater insight.

The Independent has written consistently anti-Mourinho stuff for years and stated categorically - over and over - that he would be sacked this summer. They were wrong on that and as a result you can't trust them to print the truth. All they ever do is speculate in the most extreme manner to paint a picture of turmoil at the club.

Liam you're merely a dilentante & rodomontade - indeed the complete wanniassa; put your uniform back on cos it says it all really.

I like you Don Youlots. You're always good for a laugh.

Was it funny? I didn't understand a word of it.

Tell ya what Liam - there's a bunch of us comin over next year - why don't we arrange to meet up then and we can all have a good laugh. What ya say.

I'm sorry, who are you again?

on second thoughts, arrange a neutral venue, and we'll see if we can tape a gun behind the toilets.

also, bring your passport. I'm afraid you'll be heading to trieste for a couple years.

Well said, YouLots.

If you've got room for one more in the bus, sign me up for that day trip, mate.

Ah, a great movie, Brian M. My favourite part was the gang with the baseball bats and Yankee uniforms. Creepy.

A modern day Odyssey.

Yeah, wasn't it though! The good news is that Walter Hill (writer / director of the film) is attached to write the re-make which comes out next year. (I don't think a director is attached yet)

the complete wanniassa?

Er, could you enlighten me please. I know the Canberra suburb but I've never heard that phrase. I googled that and the only hits were from this thread.

Legend has it that a race of superhumans sprang up there around 23 BC only to disappear again without trace. They were notable not only for their wit and intelligence, but also for their extraordinary beauty.

(Forgive me my lack of modesty but no one else seemed to be replying)

If I remember my primary school history lessons correctly, they were wiped out in a vicious struggle with the Atlantisians. Of course, they disappeared from history as well. We can but speculate what happened.
