4EVERCHELSEA
Which one would you rather we win this year??? Gotta go with the CL.. Being one kick away from being crowned Champions of europe is something that would have being beyond special.. even if we never ever won it again, we'd have had that one CL trophy in the bag and the memories to go with it. Back 2 back championships have already being won and done.. hell, they were special.. but nothing beats being the number team in europe. So what would be the one for you??? loz
Premiership every time. Harder to win, more pleasure from doing it and stacks more bragging rights. The Champions league has been won far too many times by a club that was clearly not the best in the tournament for anyone to justifiably say it proves they are the best in Europe. More often that not it is won by a team that isn't even the best in their own country.

Maksimov
It would be nice to win the Champions League, but if it has to be one or the other, I'd pick the domestic league every time.
Chippy
Premiership for me every time, but even more so this time because if we don't win it I think UTD could make it an unthinkable three in a row.
loz
We had a poll on this before which I have just found The result was actually a lot closer than I expected http://www.theshedend.com/index.php?showto...;hl=premiership At the risk of sounding like I am being 'foreignist' I suspect that more UK based fans would choose the Premiership and non UK based ones would choose the CL. I don't mean that all non UK based would choose the CL (and vice versa) just that there may be a stronger vote for the CL from fans based abroad. Kerry
Both! The red b*tches of Manu can get both last season and why can't we??? If I have to choose - given the fact that I have hm hm !!!! Scouse in my neighbourhood singing everyday into my ear they'll win the league this year - I'd even quit in the semis to win the league! Hell we NEED to get this trophy on loan back! coco
The thought of anyone else winning the league is very depressing. The thought of anyone else winning the CL is not as depressing.
Mr Chelsea
after just missing out on both last season, this season i think its equally as important that we win them both, to show to the football world that we have improved and made steps in the right direction but if i can only choose one then its the premier league because i think its the hardest to win, once qualified for the knock-out stages of the CL its not always the best team over 2 games that wins an occasional bit of luck on the way and you've won the final ask the mancs

icecoolguy22
I want the league title, Mau U do a hat trick or Liverscum steal the title would be unacceptable. League table does not lie, the best team will win the title. The CL is a bit of a lottery, as we saw last season.

Nibs
I think the timing of the question has a fair bearing on the answer. Ask me now or most times come to that and I would say league every time. But ask me in April / May, when we might not have been playing too well in the league but are still in with a shout and also just happen to be playing Liverpool in the semi or the final of the CL, then I would probably go for CL. The thought of missing out, especially to that lot, would be too much to bear. (That’s as long as it wasn’t Liverpool winning the league of course!!) I wonder what the likes of JT and Lamps would answer to that? Think they are desperate to get a CL winners medal – especially after the events in Moscow. I guess this is because English Pemiership doesn't get as much attention as the CL outside UK. Foreign fans (me included but I've answered already) would enjoy it when Chelsea get more attention. At least - success is the best promotion! As I've described once - admit your support for Chelsea openly and you're likely to be slated immediately
evissy
At the moment it is Prem. It has been CL ever since we won the league but now that the league seems very even and Scum competing us head to head(still) it has to be EPL.
Ruh Buh Juh
The thought of anyone else winning the league is very depressing. The thought of anyone else winning the CL is not as depressing. Hit the nail on the head there, mate. I could handle losing the CL to a tam like Barca or Real, but losing the League to the Scum or Mancs, then that's a harder pill to swallow. Agree. But what when losing the CL to the red b'tched of Man again or to the scum? Regarding the situation that we've just lost once against a non-English side in the past, the rest sums it up well: Scouse ... Barca ... Scouse ... ManU ... Gem
The Premier League by far, I get more wound up dropping points in the Premiership than losing in a cup compeition.
Johan Gruyff
Both! Bit concerned bout CL, not playing well at the mo, Chelsea are playing well in the Premier League though. Like Ruh Buh Juh I agree about losing to Mancs or Scum is way harder to face than losing to Barca or Real but lets face it, we are terrible at pens! (that's the only way Mancs or Scum can beat us) Get pen takers an i'll be happy!!!! Anyway, for me, BOTH!!! Edited November 18, 2008 by Johan Gruyff
mad_mac
I think the League is always a priority, but in a completely selfish way, I've seen Chelsea win it, and I've not seen us win the CL. However, the CL is a total lottery at times and isn't often a true reflection of European football. Porto and Liverpool being cases in point! I'd love to get over the pain of last year, and the only way to do that is to win the big eared trophy. If given an option, right now, I'd take the CL. But that is probably just because of last year. When thinking about it over the long term...League everytime!
