Can't really blame him for the first two goals. He probably hasn't trained with the team yet and has hardly trained since the world cup. He'll get up to speed.

I know what you mean, he couldn't do much about any of the goals and made some good saves. Good at coming for crosses as well. The defence will get better I feel, new system, some new players and the midfield protection will get better. He is an upgrade on Sanchez and at £7.5m it's a no brainer.

It’s a strange to say considering that he conceded 3 goals but I was pleased with him overall.

Started ok but then got worse and worse and as the game went on. I can think of a couple of times he took a throw in and within 10 seconds Brighton was nearly in on goal. I'm hoping Xabi is in the office of a board member right now saying "we are so light in midfield I had to play Gusto there" Then we'll get a new midfielder by Tuesday night.

Camara playing tonight, very solid performance. Marseille have been mostly nullified and Monaco are good for the two goal lead as it stands... If Caicedo is injured and Enzo is off we need bodies. I just don't trust Lavia and Reece to play 90 minutes every week and Barco and Essugo aren't ready.
