Boulahrouz9 got a reaction from LongtimerLurker in Ruben Loftus-Cheekfeel like its the first time he has looked properly fit in a long time, looked really explosive and up for it yesterday - great to see him back out there

Boulahrouz9 reacted to abramovich in Milan SkriniarAs much as I like to blame our board/Marina for poor transfer business over the last few years, the Morata deal was probably the best we could do under the circumstances. Costa was leaving and it was a choice between Morata and Lukaku because no other big name strikers were available at the time. MU snatched Lukaku (who I didn't want either, btw) and we were left with the Spaniard. Hindsight is a beautiful thing, but who knew he'd turn out to be a gutless moanbag?

Rumours doing the rounds about Alex Telles, seems mental he's not made the move to the Prem yet. Definitely a rumour i can get behind ahead of Chilwell.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to dansubrosa in Super Frank LampardYup, reverse the roles United would be getting a lot of praise for doing it the ‘traditional United’ way. Remember how much buzz there were around Rashford?

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Liam in Super Frank LampardThis is the happiest I've ever been as a Chelsea supporter. To have so much homegrown talent managed by an absolute legend, the supporters buzzing and the whole club projecting class, it's dreamland at the moment.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to JM7 in Super Frank LampardAt the start of the season, given the state of our squad,...I think we all would have taken being in 4th place with 9 games to go with a 3 point gap.
Even if Frank falls slightly short of 4th, I think he’s done a fantastic job already. I don’t think we could have asked for much more.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Slojo in Super Frank LampardAmazing how United have been getting all the plaudits while spending 200 million and having to panic buy in January and they're still behind us. Meanwhile we had about 8 players out with injury and suspensions and we're still above them, all while playing youth. He's doing a great job so far.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Gol15 in Super Frank LampardAnother tactical victory, huge win and our best home game performance so far this season.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Scott Harris in Mason MountThis is what I would prefer too. I have been impressed with Jorginho so far this season and I love his attitude on the pitch, but I can't help but feel that Kante, Loftus-Cheek and Mount would be pretty damn good. There is also a chance that we would miss Jorginho's calm passing if he was left out though.
I think our midfield has a ton of options in it. Kovacic's quick feet, Kante's everything, Jorginho's passing, Loftus-Cheek's power, Mount's pressing and knack for getting goals. Lampard has plenty of different ways he can approach a game with that midfield.
-
Boulahrouz9 reacted to jack_super_class in Mason MountHe's much better in a 3 man midfield than playing outwide or as a number 10. Be interesting to see if he can keep his place when Loftus Cheek returns, but it looks like Barkleys days are over.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Ballack & Blu in Mason MountThis player is going to be the Best player in the premier within 2 years, he looks so like Lamps in his early days, except far quicker, this is going to get him stacks of goals, especially learning from the very best GS mid ever..

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Andy North in Super Frank LampardIts a real pleasure to weigh up how Frank and Jody have started the season. The feel good factor is something I can't ever remember having about a manager since Jose first arrived and even that is exceeded because Frank is a former player of some standing. Actually I think he is our greatest ever player. As a PL manager he got smashed 4-0 in his first game and struggled a bit thereafter. Since then though the results have improved and settled down. And this is the thing. There is improvement. OK we conceded again from sloppy defending but just the one this time.
The most heartening thing for me is that he seems to understand that creating scoring chances is key. The tactics are basically attacking and he seems to be able shape and organise the team into making attacking opportunities.
Whatever he is saying to the team is working. We are improving and we are creating chances. This won't happen every week and there will be setbacks but the overall trajectory is good. The board must also be loving this. They are weathering their self induced ban, keeping the fans onside and saving a fortune in transfer fees.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to bluedave in Super Frank LampardI think we should stop singing the pikey song. It’s unfair on pikies to be comparing them to West Ham fans.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Liam in Super Frank LampardVery good night tonight for Frank. Adventurous starting line up and shape. He's definitely not afraid to change things. In the second half good substitutions and clearly they had discussed at half time that when CHO comes on it was time to up the pace and go for it.
Obviously he needs to address the zonal marking debacle which I fully expect him to do. On the match thread he has been criticised for stubborness. What are we - 11 games in or so? Stubborn? Have a word.
-
Boulahrouz9 reacted to Kentonio in Super Frank LampardEmbarrassing at the back at times, but damn are we exciting going forward or what? Still lots of naivety out there which you’d expect from such a young team, but so much fun to watch.
I was one of the camp who really wanted Sarri to stay, but couldn’t be happier with life under Frank so far.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Scott Harris in Christian Pulisic - OfficialWe didn't sign a superstar, we signed potential, that is something we need to remember. He wasn't a regular scorer or somebody that dominated games in Germany, so we shouldn't expect that here with us right now. He's showing flashes of his talent so far, we just need to hope that he turns those moments into a regular thing as time goes on.
-
Boulahrouz9 reacted to mwblue10 in Christian Pulisic - Official3 games in and 20 years old. He’ll be just fine. Nobody was over the moon with Hazard right away either. Even the best needed time to adjust when they were young and first moved to the PL.

Boulahrouz9 reacted to Delnino in We've got a new KepaI'll start off by saying i really like Kepa, when a team is trying to play football like Chelsea, you need a keeper thats very good with their feet, can pass first time and not be afraid to leave their line to sweep up, sure Kepa could be a more dominant in the 6 yard box but he doesnt have the height or strength for it, Chelsea, for about 15 years before Kepa, were blessed with 2 absolute monsters in that regard in Courtois and Cech who are both well above 6'4 , Courtois was one of the most dominate GKs i've seen in claiming high balls but Kepa doesnt have that in his locker, he must be giving up about 3 inches or so to those guys so dominating the area is something he wont do or will ever do, IMO.
He does however have fantastic reflexes and a great spring, a trade off for his size and physicality.
I think given the circumstances in losing Courtois, we couldnt have asked for a better GK to play the type of football that Sarri and Lamps want to play, the only other GKs you'd want to play that style and that are currently better than him are Ederson, Ter Stegen, Alisson and none of them were available at the time, Alisson was but Liverpool beat us to him and TBH, hes had more in play mistakes last year than Kepa last year.
Hes very similar to De gea, although his distribution is much better and if you compare both of their first seasons in PL football, Kepa has made the transition a lot more smoothly than De Gea did all those years ago and hes now Spains #1 GK, I think we'll be fine with Kepa long term as he adjusts to the PL even more.

-
Boulahrouz9 reacted to BlueDay in 4-2-3-1: toilet formationCalling Lampard a toilet manager after 3 games is exactly what is wrong with the supporters of this club.
-
Boulahrouz9 reacted to Saru in 4-2-3-1: toilet formationKovacic did not make a difference today, but I think he's an important player for us - and I understand the decision to buy him given the transfer ban, and needing a bunch of senior plays. Admittedly he could have done better today, but at the same time I can't hate on the guy for today's performance. Willian however was a net negative coming off from the bench and just stifled the remaining attacks that we were building up...
I would actually like to see us go with a 4-3-3: with Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic as the three staples, with Mount and Barkley coming into the picture and replacing them sometimes. Pulisic tried hard but didn't have a great game - still adjusting to the league I guess and is a young lad himself. Awaiting Cho's return to see what he brings. Pedro will be an important player for us this season, and hoping he can put more performances like he did against Liverpool.
In any case, we are realistically 2 games into the season. The first scoreline not being reflective of our performance, and this one being a fair result all in all. We all know this season will be tough so let's not expect to steamroll through everyone and give Lampard a chance to continue working with the players, reviewing them and working on his systems.
