Meeting up in Munich
Daft question perhaps but how many Chels will travel with or without tickets?

Forget About The Premiership, Focus on the Cups
Also you want momentum and confidence going into the Cup Finals. Easiest way to get that is by winning all the games beforehand.

Forget About The Premiership, Focus on the Cups
This. You can't pick and choose the games you get up for. Rotate the squad, try and win every game, simples.
- Lamps will be captain in JTs absence?

A Defining Moment For Tactics?
No offence but why would a CFC fan want Utd to beat Barca?
-
We love RAMBO
Yes. And I will hold my hand up and admit I was one of his biggest detractors (not on here mind) in his first season with us. Well done Rambo, pleased to be proved wrong.
-
Rameries, Ivanovic, Meireles and JT out!
Agree. We can plug players in to the defence that will do a job for us, the midfield has lost a lot of its energy/legs - losing Rambo is a HUGE blow. But f**k it, we werent even supposed to beat Barca/get to the final so the belief is there. IMPORTANTLY and thank God our most creative players (Lamps, Mata and Drogs) are still available, we will need plenty of running/defending from the replacements of Iva, JT, Rambo and Raul.

What will we win at the end of the season?
Well said my man.

Did anyone go West Ham away in 2003?
Werent there but Di Canio :-( I thought there and then that we had blown the Champs league

Chelsea v Liverpool (FA Cup Final) 05/05/12 KO 17:15 BST
They've as many reasons to be worried about us as we them. They are or rather have been somewhat of a bogey side to us but then we're due a win against em so it works both ways. FTS

The minutes silence today // Issues
Liverpool are the new Leeds United. We hate them, they hate us. Fine by me.
-
Who is our best ever player?
Lampard for me, followed closely by Zola. Drogba lacked Franks consistency and Zola's cool temperament but I do agree that Drogs is up there, big game player.

Is the FA cup really worth anything today?
Daft question really, course it is! Its the FA Cup! We have 6 wins compared to Liverpools 7, would love to equal them on May 5th. I honestly couldnt give a monkeys about the league cup but the FA is pukka.

The minutes silence today // Issues
Look, we all know Hillsborough was a horrible tragedy, that the South Yorks police were incompetent, the stadia at that time were antiquated and dangerous and that subsequently there was a cover up by the authorities to avoid taking responsibility. But none of that has anything to do with our beloved club Chelsea. If Liverpool fans want to agitate for justice for the dead and the bereaved I support them fully. If they want to grieve, hold memorial services and the like that strikes me as a fitting way to pay tribute to those who tragically died. But just keep Chelsea out if it. Its 23 years since Hillsborough theres no need for minutes silence at this stage. It doesnt change anything, in fact its meaningless at this point. Its bad enough that we had to play on the Sunday to accomodate their "we don't play on April 15th" policy making us go through the charade of a minutes silence and all the faux grief that goes with it was just the icing on the cake. Fight for the 96 on your own terms, memorialise them on your own terms. Just don't try and impose your will on other clubs unconnected to the tragedy. Its selfish, narcissistic and frankly at this stage utterly tedious.

Great European nights
Thats the one I thought of when I seen the thread title, it was in that manky grey and orange kit as well. Also another to sprung to mind was Viktoria Zhizkov home in 94, we won 4-2 after leading 2-0 then they drew level before Rocky (i think) scored a brace iirc

Did the decline start when Wilkins was dismissed?
Agree. We made a great start to that season, give Butch the sack inexplicably and then went on a terrible run for 6 weeks in Nov/Dec. Sacking Ray massively destabilised us imo, as shedendpensioner says you should never underestimate the value of a good #2. Unfortunately we did and its been costing us since, God I wish Clarkey or Butch were still in the fold, they are CFC through and through as well.

If there were/was no CFC
Me too. I used to love Juventus back in the early 90s when they had Ravanelli, Baggio et al. In fact I have their shirt from the 94/95 season with Vialli 9 on it which I got before he joined us by sheer coincidence. Juventus would be my team along with Barca who Ive had a soft spot for ever since Venables was manager in the mid 80s. I just couldnt bring myself to support another English team in Chelseas absence, of course I would still support anyone versus Liverpool, Utd and Spurs. It is hardwired into my DNA to hate those teams, I despise them as Im sure 99% on here do.

Player power (merged)
spiller its an entirely fair question. if they were not putting in the effort then they think themselves bigger than the club. I have it on good authority from someone close to an agent of one of the players that theyve never played for him, never respected him and mugged him off from day one. never bought into his philosophy, if so that makes them wage thieves
-
Player power (merged)
amongst this managerial merry go round over the last few seasons the players have been the common denominator. in my eyes some of them have been indulged and now feel as if they are untouchable. well, if they really did try and get boas sacked (and im undecided) then they got their wish so now its up to them to turn this season around and give us something to shout about come may. right now though im feeling hurt and let down by them. we need a win v Brum to give us some confidence & momentum for the run in, KTBFFH!

Most disliked ex Blue?
Was gonna say Clive Walker snedger. My old man asked him in the early 90s when we bumped into him how he felt about scoring in the Milk Cup semi, we thought he might say something like "Pleased for myself, gutted for Chelsea fans" but quite rudely and arrogantly said "How the f**k do you think I felt? I wanted to play at Wembley". Total classless, tactless rude arsehole. I hate him and Alan Hudson always trying to make a pound note as "ex Chelsea players" but wolves in sheeps clothing in my eyes.

Who do you blame the most ...
+1. The hierachy at any football club is thus: a) Owner/board b) Manager/coaches c) Players Ultimately, the buck stops at the top of that pyramid. The ownership & coaching staff (a and b) between them comprise what I look at as the "intellectual brain trust" of a football club and our IBT has not been singing from the same hymn sheet for some time. Our medium and long term strategy seems non existent at times. Please Roman stop undermining and interfering with our managers.

Who won't be supporting England now?
Rattins got sent off in the quarters v england for basically nothing. Its on youtube.

AVB - who's behind him?
I dont want to bore anyone sounding like "I told you so" but I never wanted Carlo gone. I said at the time and stand by it today bringing in AVB was a massive, massive gamble. Swapping an experienced manager with 2 Champs leagues and a first and second place finish with us for a young, inexperienced manager who is still a work in progress was a risk, but apparently it was a risk Chelsea FC were willing to take. Personally I would have stuck with the known quantity but thats just me. The focus in these past few seasons should have been root and branch rebuilding.of the squad NOT changing the manager every other season and turning the CFC managers position into what it has effectively become a caretaker role. The people at the top at Chelsea need to recognise its THEIR decision making that has put us in this position and that changing manager every other year is not a long term remedy for anything. KTBFFH

Who won't be supporting England now?
Backbiter you arent the chap who used to go Chelsea with Joey Jones are you?

Who won't be supporting England now?
Mods please don't merge this into the JT thread as its a seperate question that pertains specifically to supporting allegiances re. England. This is no knee jerk reaction on my part (as Snedger has already said on here he was never much of an England fan due to Dixons lack of caps - me too) but as of today I will not support the English national team in football. Im tired of the media negativity, tired of our players being booed and the morons that support that jokeshop of a setup. Im still proud of being English but can think of much better ways to manifest my patriotism than be an accessory to that circus. I will support the Chelsea lads in the side but beyond that England FC can f**k right off. Chelsea only from now on.
