Mr Rodgers grew up in a Catholic part of Northern Ireland and even played hurling (though his parents were of a mixed marriage i should add) some Chelsea fans are anti Irish bigots so I would imagine a minority of people do dislike him solely because he was born on the island across the sea.

You just don't like him because he is a Paddy just like you all slag Mr Roy Keane, I like Mr Rodgers but I don't like his teeth.

It's a top class series, the longships that are used are owned by a historical re-enactment company in my local area, it is far better than Game of Thrones.

Can't get into the show at all, it is shot all around my local area but I think it is poor though it is very good to see places like Dunluce Castle and Shanes Castle broadcast all around the world as tourists don't often visit them. Vikings is a far better series.

Hello, where are you from? I'm from Derry myself I don't think it would matter, it's not like Arsenal have any Irish players at the moment. Man.United have a lot of Irish fans because they had a lot of big Irish players in the past, Chelsea have had their fair share as well, just not big name players like Keane and Irwin.

I too thought it a bit odd when I seen this section, I don't have much respect for Rangers or Celtic FC, from my experience a large percentage of their fans are bigots. You can even see users around this site with usernames with 1690 in them and pics of red hands (which is actually an Irish symbol-some people get confused) It's the equivalent of me having a username such as EIRE1916 or something. I'm sure there are some who have no interest in the the politics but in my eyes the 2 clubs are just too steeped in politics to be taken seriously. If I had have been born into supporting Celtic I would have ditched them when I was old enough to understand all the politics as their is too much stigma attached to supporting them. Chelsea have had many Irish and 2nd generation Irish players over the years, more recently Damien Duff, Nick Colgan and Malachy Donaghy so the club itself obviously never had an anti Irish or anti-Catholic attitude (that's not including the English Catholic players) so they are not particularly viewed as anti-Irish in Irish society from my experience.

it's a nice kit but there's not a lot you can do with adidas kits, they all end up looking the same due to the 3 striped sleeves. I still hope for a yellow shirt over the next few years. The goalkeepers shirt is beautiful

I stopped buying shirts when they started changing every season. The 2008/09 yellow one was the last i bought. I loved last years home kit but didn't buy it. I hope they add yellow to a home shirt soon.

can i ask what is the actual point of the horses? I've never thought much about it, I've been to many Irish football and Gaelic Football games over the years and some with over 80,000 crowds and never once seen a horse outside a stadium. it's not like there is fighting nowadays
