  1. I predict 2-2. Just have a feeling Valencia tries to attack fast and hard due to two points: they are the home side and we have been crap lately. Masked man will head home Malouda's freekick and Sheva will do what he did last visit in Mestalla. Belletti-Alex-Terry-A.Cole Maka Essien Sidwell/Obi J.Cole/Malouda Drogs Sheva
  2. [web]http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php?SKEY=ceed99880894b82468257b6def5688e0[/web] the return dates have changed with all our players. 20th of october.
  3. I know it is too early to move on from Jose, but A.Grant said openly that he wants to combine winning football with entertaining football. He says also that we will not win every game... How do you see this work with mr.Grant? I mean the combining thing. I think Chelsea wont entertain Chelsea fans as much as ManU fans tomorrow since the players are probably too much in shock to react in a proper way. If ManU players start to put lot of heat on our players we might witness a farse and a series of red cards. If ManU players are clever they will try to psyche our players..
  4. I'd like to say I care which way it goes but right now I'm pretty disguted with Chelsea and football in general. Me aswell.
  5. Well I think that would go horribly wrong(I'm commenting although you might be just joking). JM didn't buy the players he bought to play all-in-attack formation. He bought them to play like we have played under his command. Against bigger teams and better players we would be in deep sh*t with that kind of formation. There needs to be balance on the pitch just in the right way. We don't have it at the moment so I'm with you somehow chelseax.

  7. If you don't rate Ballack at all you can't see why he is so valuable to 'the mannschaft' and was to Leverkusen and Bayern. Are you one of those guys who see only the obvious things in football? Goals, small dribbles that C.Ronaldo does and fine saves by the goalkeeper. Then you probably don't rate Makelele or good old Effenberg either. That's fine by me, but there are other things to look at football game. Ballack at best does things in the midfield that take his teams to World cup finals and multiple championships. His positioning, his availability to passes etc.. I rate Ballack though he is not my favourite player. I also rate Makelele and Effenberg. Back to the topic: It is weird that Chelsea didn't 'sign' Ballack to CL group stage even though he has chances to participate. Though if he only has chance to play, let's say, in the last game of the group stage it is understandable. But if Lamps is out on injury, who can replace him. Maybe Joe. I would still choose MB since he is more used to play that position and has massive experience in CL.

Oh, come on now. We have played 5 matches and lost one tough away game and people here are sacking Jose and what else. We lost Lamps just before the game and you should now see how influental peace he is of our game. Didn't watch the game yesterday, but I recon it wasn't totally awful from us. Next game will be better. Now my only hope is that Sheva will get some time on the pitch. No one seem to know what is going on with Sheva. He has to be injured otherwise JM would have him on the bench at least. We will win next two games and forget all about this Villa match! Blackburn is visiting us saturday and Rosenborg next tuesday. After those two victories we travel to Manchester and beat Ronaldo-Rooney-less ManU..
  9. I'm kind of glad we lost him instead of e.g. Diarra. Diarra have looked good everytime JM has played him.
  10. 1st of September comes soon enough and we can pretty much forget Alves. I think we don't need anyone right now. Cudicini maybe on his way out on loan but otherwise I think our squad is what it is going to be 'til january. I was expecting Alves, but we should get used to doing 'smart business' or even 'business' which we can't call our buys in recent years. edit: Alves is probably going nowhere. He will stay at Seville and everyone knows how he feels about it!
  11. The reason I'm a bit disappointed by us signing Belletti, as many you might be, is because we were after Dani Alves. Now we settled for not-that-interesting player for business reasons. I hope this slight disappointment fades away by Belletti being solid. That is all we can expect from him. I hope he proves he's valuable player and makes JM shine. Let's welcome him to the club and hope him the best.

Micah = 16mill,but as he is english 22-25mill. Closer to 25mill after that perfect ManUre game. Dani = 18mill, established otherwise IMO Micah is more valuable. Paulo = 8-10mill, He's like Mercedes Benz, high value even with some mileage. GJ = 5-7mill, can't be more.
  13. PhysioRoom here you go.
  14. Terry back to boost Blues edit: Sorry about the double post. I thought the first one didn't work. Sorry.
  15. [web]http://www.4thegame.com/club/cfc/news/206901/terry_back_to_boost_blues.html[/web]
  16. ..now that Alves is coming with reportedly around 22-25mil, Malouda was 13-16mil(?). So it makes it about 35-40mil. OK, Robben is probably out to Real and it compensates Alves move, but still we were active in the transfer market unlike some people claim. We were not ManUre or Lstool but we didn't need to. I have to say I'm really happy with all the transfers. I would like to keep Robben, but with Alex and now Alves coming in I'm content letting him go.
  17. SWP

evissy replied to The Brit's topic in General Chelsea FC
He's been improving all the time. He was great sunday, but when opponents start to notice him more and put lot of pressure on him we will see how good he really is. I hope he gets to play regularly and challenge Joe Cole. As someone already said in some post SWP's defending just isn't enough against bigger teams it seems. Birmingham was the perfect opponent for him to play. We will see bad games from him this season, that is for sure. Hope not too many though.
  18. GJ defending looked clumsy, but he was really good in attack. He made one small mistake in defence and Capo made the best shot in the world. Goal. Not all of it is GJ's fault. It should be put in perspective. I think Paulo will start against Reading since he still should be number 1 in RB.
  19. I hope it is Tampere United. Would be really great to drive to Tampere and watch Chelsea put 6 or 7 behind TamU.
  20. Agreed. Though I'm not completely sure is Alves any better in the defence. GJ was really good in the attack. Our attack looked so good, god dam*. Kalou, SWP and Malouda were all brilliant. If Robben has set his heart on the move, he probably feels really good right now. It took 0 seconds for Pizarro to adjust to the english game that's about 1 season less than Sheva, although if we had played with this formation last season Sheva would probably have netted a couple more than he did. I was more than sure that my avatar would put one past us. He has been so good during the pre-season. It was really nice to see him not celebrate his goal.
  21. eurosport.com speculates Robben, Drenthe and possibly Sneijder will be revealed by Real today. We'll just have to wait and see. If Robben goes, would be nice if we'd get Alves. It's easier to forget when someone new arrives .
  22. We are considerably weaker without Drogs but so would be any other team in the world. Sheva and Pizza are good backups and I have faith in them. Pre-season is usually where players who don't play that much(during the season) play their a*ses off to make it hard for the manager to pick the XI when the season starts. When the season starts all the best players start to perform. I wouldn't put anything on Sheva's poor form in the pre-season. He's an experienced player and don't risk anything during this time. He knows he gets his chance to prove Jose and us when the SEASON starts.
