Rooney - Yes...erm...maybe will go but I really doubt United would sell to us. Gomez - A decent shout if Bayern get Lewy, depending on the asking price. Jovetic - A very good player and option but have to wonder if he would be best as a second striker. Yilmaz - Doubt we would get him for a decent price but again for a huge sum we could probably get him. Out of that list I would say Gomez or Jovetic is the best bet. Potentially great Son - Cannot say I know of him. Bentteke - Do not see why we would pick him over Lukaku. Remy - If all else fails a cheap option but I do not believe better than Ba. Lukaku - should be one of our striker options for me. Doumbia - Have heard good things for a few years. Soldado - Depending on price could be a hit or flop, you cannot tell till he beds in. Negredo - Same as above. Damiao - Sign another Spurs target? Why not. Is a good list but honestly guess we have to wait and see what Jose has up his sleeve.

Seems Lewandowski is set for Bayern according to many sources including what the Bayern manager is supposed to have said after the CL win. Falcao could seal a move to Monaco tomorrow. Cavani is close to signing for us one min, City the next, then off to Spain etc so who knows. If we cannot get a top draw striker like that I would sooner give the spot to Lukaku than sign another Ba or the like.

Feel the same way, overall after yet another season of upheaval it has ended in a good, not great, season. Maybe we could have finished above a underwhelming City side but RvP was the missing link that gave this United side an edge that we would have been hard pressed to match. Getting 3rd in the end was a decent PL season, nothing more or less. In the domestic cups we did well in the FA cup, beat the soon to be new Champs and narrowly lost out to the defending League winners. The league cup was disappointing as we should have won it after reaching the semis. Europe and world wise was disappointing for the most part, abysmal in the super cup, poor CL defense and laughable performance in the CWC final. At least we took the Europa seriously and made more history instead of previous attempts that ended in humiliating defeats.

Think kick off is after 11 UK time, maybe was put back in case the CL final went in to extra time.

I would say likely as those two signings will help to put chances on a plate for the forwards there.

Did not expect him to be well recieved but is not easy to get someone of Falcao's quality to be third in line for one spot, and making Lukaku be there would harm his development. Him being third choice is like Blackman being third choice for the GK spot.

I'd like to see Torres and Ba gone and Lukaku challanging a new main striker for the spot up top, so long as we are still playing 1 up top next season that is. Removing Torres will be hard but Ba should be no problem, giving Lukaku his spot in the squad. I think your point is valid though, we would be getting a lot of posts saying sign this guy had he just had this season with say Marseille.

Deeper Midfield: Lamps, Romeu, Ramires, Chabolah, Khedira Attacking Midfield: Mata, Oscar, Moses, Hazard, KdB. Forwards: Falcao, Lukaku, Carlton Cole. 4 Chelsea trained players: JT, Bertrand, Chabolah, Carlton Cole 4 English club trained players: Cahill, Ash Cole, Lamps, Moses Squad size 25 but Blackman can count as under aged so you could add one more player. Cannot name a centre back I would pick to sign simply as I do not know one of good quality, maybe the young lad Jose has at Real but not seen enough of him to judge. I know many would say Carlton is not Chelsea standard but for a third striker that is big, free and Chelsea trained seems like a decent option given the cost that would come with Falcao and Khedira. Those 2 would likely total 75mill or more. If you sign Luke Shaw and loan him back that is still 10mill or so gone, leaving 15mill to buy a CB if we buy.
