De Gea is only in there because he made nowhere near as many mistakes as he did last year, IMO Cech, Begovic and Mignolet all more deserving. Not really sure why Baines is in there, scored some beauties and started the season well, but has been very quiet for months. Then again, can't think of any outstanding LB this year. Rio Ferdinand being in there just takes away the integrity of the entire event.

I'd rather see Lukaku given a go to be honest. With Torres staying, it doesn't matter which striker we sign, Torres is still going to play a substantial amount of matches. Gomez was decent, but I was most impressed with Javi Martinez. Exactly the type of player we need. A tougher, dirtier and more effective version of Mikel.

Having looked at a bazillion sources, the general consensus appears to be that we will get Schurrle at around £20mil with KdB spending a year ON LOAN at Leverkusen. That would be ideal. Rarely seems to work out that way though!

A season ticket holder mate of mine said that the Oscar goal generated one the loudest roars from the crowd at SB in years. Was at a time when there was an amazing feel good atmosphere around the club. Playing great football, still buzzing from Munich and not a FSW in sight. Most seasons, any of these goal would win GOTS easily but we've been spoiled this year for class goals. It's the touch around Pirlo that does it for me. PHWOAR.
