Maksimov
Not sure if he would be the answer, but I understand it's strongly rumoured that he's going to ManU.
Lane
id take him in a heartbeat hes not an elite striker like cavani or falcao, but he would bolster our team immensely lukaku, lewandowski and ba is a solid strikeforce . the trouble is, they are all similar in quality and neither would be content with being 3rd choice
Lane
Not sure if he would be the answer, but I understand it's strongly rumoured that he's going to ManU. if hes going to ManU then one of hernandez and welbeck will be leaving. since welbeck is their pride and joy, my bet is on hernandez. if thats the case then we'll just grab him instead
Maksimov
...my bet is on hernandez. if thats the case then we'll just grab him instead I'd MUCH rather see us get Lewandowski. If I had to choose between those two, that is.
That Boy Brandinho
I'd much rather have Chicharito. His c**tiness does not negate the fact that he's a much better striker than Lewandowski. I understand not wanting to give Man U money, but they'll have no shortage of buyers for him so that's not a big concern of mine. Jonty
Apparantley United and Bayern are fighting over him, either way I don't think he's headed here.
That Boy Brandinho
Doesn't make sense from Bayern's perspective. I don't rate Gomez, but he's perfectly adequate for what they need and Mandzukic has 18 goals in 27 matches. SydneyChelsea
He was United's first target, van Persie was their second. I don't think he's heading to United unless one of Hernandez or Rooney leave. Great striker, I think he's actually underused at Dortmund where he is expected to drop deeper than he would like. comtrend
If we can get him for £10mil-£15mil he would be a great buy, very smart player with good passning and finishing. Maybe a new manager could find a way to use two strikers at the same time when needed, Lewandowski has the ability atleast to play support striker and we could keep all three strikers happy this way. ForeverCarefree
I think I read today that Dortmund will just let his contract run down rather than sell him, in which case he isn't available for another year yet.
CunningStunt
I'd quite like him here. He's a very good player. But he'd be my 3rd choice behind Falcao and Cavani. He'd be significantly cheaper than those two though.
comtrend
The way I see it we can get Lewandowski, Moutinho/Fellaini and Capoue for about the same prize as Falcao. I would rather have a very strong squad when we have 60+ games in a season and age favours Lewandowski as well.

Agreed, having Lewandowski, Fellaini and Capoue would make me confident that we could win the title.
Lane
Agreed, having Lewandowski, Fellaini and Capoue would make me confident that we could win the title. having just lewandowski and 1 from capoue and fellaini would do for me. the 2 players wont be too expensive and yeah, we could definitely challenge for the title Edited March 15, 2013 by Lane
Teritus
I would prefer Falcao obviously but Lewandowski definitely checks all our boxes. 1) is a striker
comtrend
Lewandowski has the awarness and ability to join in on Hazard, Oscar and Matas clever passing and movement infront of the opositions goal. I think thats what we are missing atm after watching Ba telegraf what he is doing 1-2 second in advance against West Ham and West Brom. I think Lukaku is a bit better at this then Ba, but not at the same level as Lewandowski, who links up with Goetze and Reus daily.
Zeta
I don't know anything about him really other than Youtube clips, but then again I'd never heard of Oscar before we bought him, so if the club think he's good enough hopefully he will be. Lane
i see no reason why we shouldnt try to sign him. hes a good striker, on his last year, hes young . . . i'd rather we sign him than falcao lewandowski, lukaku and ba are definitely good enough to win the title. and thats 10-15M to solve our striker issue, no brainer for me Edited March 17, 2013 by Lane
SydneyChelsea
The more I think about it the more I feel we don't need a "superstar" striker like Falcao. The focal point of our attack is always going to be Mata/Hazard/Oscar rather than the centre-forward. We're not starved of genuine creative players so we don't need our striker to create something out of nothing.
True Blue23
Scored almost as many as Falcao and is more of a team player than Falcao which would suit Mazacar perfectly. Still not convinced if we should bring in a top class striker or just try it with Lukaku and Ba. I think a striker who can also play on the right wing and doesn't cost too much, like for example Aubameyang, would be the right acquisition for us. We're not starved of genuine creative players so we don't need our striker to create something out of nothing. I've been desperate for us to get Falcao since his Porto days, but I agree with this on the basis of his transfer price. If we could throw Torres in & get £15-20m off the deal then great, but very unlikely. We need a hard working centre forward. Lukaku might be that man, but I rate Lewandowski. Whenever I see him play, even if he doesn't score he contributes. I think he will either go to Unt or Bayern though.
comtrend
I doubt Dortmund wants to improve Bayern Munchen by selling to them and most of those United rumours came when they were still chasing Van Persi.
abramovich
I think Lewandowski is worth making a bid for. Still young (24), great scoring record for Dortmund, and probably won't cost a fortune since he is a year away from the end of the contract and announced he won't sign an extension. I saw him for both club and country and I think he fits our current setup perfectly. He is what Torres used to be when he was good at Pool. With Mazacar behind him, he'll be a monster.
