If we turn up since minute 0 we can beat this lot in the replay.

Champions League 2012/2013
That was a job application plain and simple. If Fergie retires at the right time I think he'll be there.

Rafa rant at the fans
Few reasons he didn't say that: - he actually meant it. He does hate us and he won't say anything to the contrary - he dreams of going back to Liverpool - he remains a legend in Liverpool. They chant his name every single bloody game to this day It was never going to work and, like it or not, there's no stopping to the toxic atmosphere as long as he remains in charge.

Rafa rant at the fans
So... is he off or not? I've been reading contradicting stuff about him seeing off the season.

Reading v Chelsea (PL) 30/1/13 KO 20:00 GMT
I thought some decisions were shocking but on top of it we were incredibly unlucky.

Brentford v Chelsea (FA Cup) 27/01/13 KO 12:00 GMT
It could be worse. We could be scousers.

Beckham to join Chelsea!
If the lad is good he's welcome AFAIC.

Roberto Mancini anyone?
Terrible record considering the quality of the players he has been able to sign/manage. Maybe a nice bloke but no thanks.

Rafa defends Torres over Swansea game
Well, he used to play him crocked in Liverpool like he was Pele in Escape to Victory. The tw*t.

Wake up Chelsea
...is right. Only wait out I see is a loan, or a lesser role in the club. But NOBODY is going to sign him and pay his full salary. Then again loaning him out would be a risk until we have another striker. A trade for Falcao with Torres being a part of the deal would still mean we have to pay part of his salary for the next 3 years. Otherwise they won't take him.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I think he'd happily leave, but who's going to pay his wages? He has 3 years left in his contract. He's damaged goods now, with his confidence shot and the doubts about the real level he might achieve in the future. At this point I think the most realistic outlook is trying to get some sort of performance for him even if he's not playing in his position (which is what AVB tried) although this will mean fewer goals and even more and more pressure on him.

What will happen to Essien?
Can't see how we can send Lampard and Cole out and bring Essien back in.

Fan unrest - media reporting
Many fans are helping the tabloids on this one.

Wake up Chelsea
Nobody is going to be paying his full salary elsewhere, so it will save less than that I'm afraid.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Swansea paid how much for Michu? I think it was 2 or 3 million. What a deal. It doesn't matter how much did he cost years ago, it's what happens on the field now that counts.

FSW......Xenophobic?
Fat Scouser Waiter? It's were he belongs, he'd take Liverpool over a Spanish side any day. Still refers to Liverpool as "us" and signs Liverpool shirts.
-
Would you play Ba and Torres play together?
I think they will only play together against smaller but tough sides. Against sides that will try to play, plan A with a single striker up front should work better. Mata, Moses, Hazard, etc even Luiz can score.

How long can we keep Juan Mata before a Barca or R.Madrid approach him?
I think Barcelona have an excess of Mata-type players and they are world class. Madrid could be interested since they make big signings every year to keep the fans happy and interested, although they really don't need big stars, they need good squad players willing to do the hard work like Makelele did for them back in the day (and how they missed him). So Mata being Spanish and possibly the best player in the premiership this year, they could try to make an offer. That said, I don't think Mata would be interested in going to a club where he'd have to prove himself in a rather hostile bench. Mata is the player we should be building around and not you-know-who.

10 worst signings
I think Torres is in a class of his own in that he cannot seem to be arsed despite the massive amount of money he costed, and the wages he makes. Sheva tried, and his style didn't quite work around here. Torres can only appear to be arsed occasionally. I'd swear he can leave the club for cheap by the back door, and come back somewhere else just to spite us.

Sturridge sale confirmed
I honestly don't think Ba is better than Sturridge. We are trading future for present, I guess we are looking for results today, but it's not a big improvement like Cavani, Falcao, Llorente or Negredo would have been.

'Arry - Only a real dope can fail at Chelsea
Doesn't want to manage in the Championship next year methinks. (He has spot on about Lamps in that video though. Great young player vision.)

Sturridge sale confirmed
Donate it to the scousers in need.

Hi there, London Blue reporting in.
By the way, I went to the pinned topic in this section looking for the rules, but I cannot find them. The link is this http://www.theshedend.com/index.php?act=boardrules and it just sends me to the main forum page. Am I missing something? I think I'm refraining from posting elsewhere until I can read the rules... I'm old schooled like that :-)

Hi there, London Blue reporting in.
Hi Dan from another forum n00b. My all time favourite has to be Zola, but Lampard is up there close too :-) . That said, I think he should take a pay cut if he wants to retire in the Bridge. Otherwise he can go and make fortune abroad like other legends have done in the past, no shame in that. I agree about Torres, not because of the quality - he has it - but because he look not arsed way too often. I think he will get a good run and then he's likely to be shipped to Spain when we can get some value back (never 50M mind). Or maybe he can ship him back to Liverpool with the FSW. About the FSW... I won't complain if results go our way but he's Liverpool through and through and he should leave as soon as the season ends. I might be old fashioned but we cannot have a manager who really wants to be elsewhere. I don't give much regard about the bile comments about the fans, because I think that was just banter and mind games. Jose and Ferguson also do that kind of thing. I'm not too keen on Ba to be honest. I think he's a flavour of the month striker that will go the way of Carroll and possibly be a great piece of business for Newcastle. David Villa is great but he will last too little. If we are going to sign a striker I think we should go all in and buy Falcao. If not Falcao then maybe Negredo. Otherwise I'm afraid we might get someone who wouldn't improve on Sturridge. I've lurked for a while, and I look forward to participate from now on. See you in the Bridge.
