loz
For me there was two players in contention tonight. Cech and Cech's shadow.

Phillip
I voted Bossy, for doing a great job on Messi. Of course, Cech is right up there, but that was a performance similar to Boularouz's job on Ronaldinho a few years back.

geezer
Petr for me too. Stood up well tonight. All in all a very good team performance against a top, top team.
Phillip
Well, if Bossy was the one who did that shirt pull on Henry that was not called, then please change my vote to Cech.
BlueBeard
Petr Cech for me, great goalkeeping display, but then, his distribution was f*ckin' awful. Never mind, eh

Gem
Big Pete. Credit to all our boys, but especially the back 5 - Cech, Ivanovic, Alex, JT & Bossy. PS, need a nickname from Ivanovic, takes me too long to type his name

Virosh
Cech all the way. I have to give credit to Malouda, who didn't have his best game, but worked very hard throughout.

Lofty
I voted Ivanovic just in case nobody else does.
just
I voted Ivanovic just in case nobody else does. He didn't have the best first half Lofty and I wrote at half-time that he was standing too far off Henry, allowing him to get the ball under control and run at him. Second half he played much better, but then Henry didn't stay wide 2nd period. Positionally, he became more of an old-style inside-left and, as a natural centre-back, that definately suited Ivanovich

This is why I very rarely vote if I watch a game on a live stream, and it would be the same if I was actually at the match - I'm one of those people who really could do with opera glasses. But you'd look (and feel) such a twat!!
g3.7
went for jt actually- got skinned once by eto'o, but I thought otherwise was very good, and we really needed his leadership and organisation. special mentions to cech of course, and bosingwa. given the hardest task in football, out of position and probably not 100% fit. after that early lunge (thought he got the ball there though) it looked like we were in real trouble of a del horno repeat. but he stood up well and coped pretty admirably. Paul Seery
I voted for Petr Cech. The guy was brilliant tonight in goal.
bluevale2
Me too, I thought he had a good game. Congratulations to the lads but its not over yet. Got a horrible feeling we will pay for not scoring. Sorry for being a miserable git.
TheWestwayWonder
all 11 for me tonight I would have picked this if it was an option, but as it was Cech stood head and shoulders above the rest. I was proud of the whole team tonight. They had a gameplan and they executed it to a T in spite of the talent the faced. Immense
TheWestwayWonder
PS, need a nickname from Ivanovic, takes me too long to type his name Bran the Man? (which is great because I love muffins) Ivan the Terrible? Bane? (what the Serbs call him) the possibilities are literally endless If he is going to stay (and god I hope he is) I think I need a number 2 shirt with a nickname on the back. The guy is a monster Edited April 28, 2009 by TheWestwayWonder
icecoolguy22
Cech by far the best player on the field, outstanding saves, and came out with greating timing and composure (at least of the time). I supposed Terry organised defence well, apart from letting Etto pass him once. Mikel deserve some metion for his defensive work in front of the back 4. 2 Full backs did well to eliminate the damage of Messi and Henry. I can't give too much credit to others, as we did not put 5 passes together after the 1st minute.
