Posted April 30, 200916 yr How about this guy.In terms of individual talent he's easily in the world's top ten and he's only 20, the upside is tremendous. We may have to spend a fortune to get him but there aren't many players out there around that age at that level of ability, in fact only Messi I'd put higher. Fast, great on the ball, quality finisher. Playing him as a second striker to Drogba could certainly put fear into opposition. I know he said in the past he's settled at Atletico and the club doesn't want to sell but a player of such quality doesn't belong in a team that has no real shot at winning big trophies. A player like Villa may give us more right now but they'll both cost about the same and Aguero has 10-12 years of top class football ahead of him, it's scary how good this kid may get in time.
April 30, 200916 yr Ive said before that we should do EVERYTHING we can to get him at Chelsea, wont happen unfortunatly
April 30, 200916 yr torres was saying that he is settled at atletico and than he joined livcerscum. I think he has a buyout clause of 45m€ if we pay that he will come. I know that is alot of money but have you seen that kid??!! He is great and probably too fast for most of BPL defenders (Carjacker,Rio,Gallas,JT), and he has some amazing skils. I just hope we sign him. I would take him before Villa any day.
April 30, 200916 yr i watched that game live and it was the greatest game of football you will ever see Edited April 30, 200916 yr by sexelk
April 30, 200916 yr I think the main question now is if he is too small for the premiership. If he's good enough, he's big enough. Zola was certainly good enough.
April 30, 200916 yr Exactly. And his size doesn't effect his strength - he's like a little bull, tearing up defences! This is the one player in the world I'd like to sign more than anyone right now (other than Messi, but he's guaranteed to stay at Barca) but umm, the chances of us getting him? Very, very slim, to none.
April 30, 200916 yr Think the kid could be top class, hate for us to miss out of him like Torres. I do worry that he could flop over here though, doesnt have the phsicality of Benzema which make him more likelyto settle in. He hasnt been as good this year as last, but thats understandable. He is clearly highly rated though in Argentina and could be the next best thing to Messi.
April 30, 200916 yr If we signed this kid, as soon as I changed my pants I would be on the megastore website ordering his name and number on a shirt. I think he is very likely to be tussling with Ronaldo and Messi for the title of "worlds best" for the next decade. On his day he is already the equal of those two I am all for financial prudence by Roman, but here is one of the few cases when breaking bank would be 100% worth it. I just hope its us, and not -Real -Inter -Man City -Barca that get to him first. I dont see Liverpool because I doubt they have that kind of money to spend on one player. Exactly. And his size doesn't effect his strength - he's like a little bull, tearing up defences! So true, the guy does not "play small" by any means. He is direct and goes at defenses. by the way, IvoryCoast, I know many have said it before but you avatar is awesome
April 30, 200916 yr If we signed this kid, as soon as I changed my pants I would be on the megastore website ordering his name and number on a shirt. haha indeed
April 30, 200916 yr Imagine watching him have a casual kickabout in his back garden with his Father in law, i'd pay to watch that
May 1, 200916 yr Yip, and Diego even hinted that Sergio may leave atletico if the right bid came in. Maybe Diego is his agent, and is trying to drum up more business for his personal stash of marching powder
May 2, 200916 yr I would love for him to come, but my bet is that we'll end up signing malouda part 2 next season, whoever that might be. Sad really the number of good strikers that have come to the club since Roman's arrival, and none of them have turned big.

May 2, 200916 yr I beg to didier-fer. Yeah that Crepso bloke was sh*te too eh ? (but i know what he is getting at)
May 2, 200916 yr He's insanely good. Not only is his speed and attacking play world class, but he even tracks back effectively. And he's only 20. Think how good Argentina are going to be with him AND Messi...
May 2, 200916 yr Yeah, that one tackle just after 2 minutes in was insanely good, and then to get right back up and win the ball again! Incredible.
May 4, 200916 yr Hmm... big thing on effort and commitment there that makes me wonder if he's really appropriate... Of course, if Hiddink's still here... Edited May 4, 200916 yr by PloKoon13
May 4, 200916 yr Author Hmm... big thing on effort and commitment there that makes me wonder if he's really appropriate...Of course, if Hiddink's still here... I think we're a bit overpacked with players who can offer effort and commitment yet experience obvious shortage of those gifted with an individual ability, especially when it comes to attacking options.
May 5, 200916 yr I wonder how much of an influence Maradonna is being in his demise? I'd be all for him coming to us, infact I would absolutely love it if we went for him. However, if that means Diego Maradonna sticking his nose into affairs I'd say it's too much baggage
May 30, 200916 yr Atletico are playing Almeria on the final day in Spain, and Aguero just humiliated their backline with a goal that was similar to Frank's. Turned the same two guys inside, outside, and back inside, and then hammered it with his left into the same top left corner. Just to rehash: brilliant player who I would pull out all the stops to get and it would make my life if we signed him Buck is being quoted today by Soccernet saying that Roman is ready to make a big splash on a player this summer. Hoping this will be the guy
May 30, 200916 yr But sadly, Atletico wins and therefore is in the running for a Champion's League spot by finishing 4th...a loss and they would've been out for sure and he might have been even more likely to move.
May 31, 200916 yr http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...o.html?ITO=1490 Hmm, makes me feel happier about Carlo already.
May 31, 200916 yr Aguero really seem like a lost cause. Not only do I doubt he'll leave his current team anytime soon and if he actually would then it would probably not for us. Maybe he'll team up with Torres at Liverpool (scary thought). Still, if Roman is willing to splash out on one or two players this summer then Aguero really is someone Chelsea should try and get. Maybe we can appeal to him somehow and a big enough bid would probably be accepted by his team. I mean he would really give us something else up front. We have a natural goalscorer in Anelka and a powerhouse in Drogba (not sure what to call Di Santo yet). Aguero could be our little tricky player. Could be very useful.
