Easy choice for me - Deco

I actually thought that other than Kalou the whole team played well but Deco excelled. I also think special mentions should go to Ballack and Bosingwa. Furthermore all Bruce's pre match talk about Jones and Bent being a handful for JT was put to rest - Terry bossed them.

I don't think it was as good as his performance on the opening day of the season against Pompey last season however it was still excellent.

I'm going for Ballack, he was the glue man in the midfield today.

Deco for me, with Lamps, A.Cole and Bosi close behind. Everyone played well apart from kalou, aimless runs and no vision whatsoever.

I don't know, Portsmouth were pretty pathetic, whereas Sunderland look to be a reasonable side, certainly full of confidence after their away win at the weekend.

Deco played well, yes, but I think in the first half he gave the ball away a lot and got muscled off the ball too often for my liking, but in the 2nd half he improved leaps and bounds.

But Bosingwa got my vote.

Ballack for me, he looked comfortable all evening. And let's face it, I was never gonna vote for Deco was I? :angry:

Ballack for me. He oozed class and Teutonic composure with every touch he made. Deco certainly had a great game and so did Bosingwa.

Also, Sturridge in 5-ish minutes showed more creativity, flair and confidence Kalou showed the entire time he was on. I really don't see the point in playing him in anything but the last resort.

I was never gonna vote for Deco was I? :D

went with ballack too-looked superior to all on show (mentions for deco, bosingwa and jt though), great passing, moved the ball well and made himself available well.

Deco played exceptionally well.

This diamond formation could be the making of him in a Chelsea shirt. Took his goal really well too.

I didn't get to watch the whole game, but from what I saw, Deco looked exceptional.

His goal was just brilliant. Hands down, MOTM for me. :P

Twas between Ballack and Deco for me. They both oozed class. In the end I plumped for Ballack for being in the right place for the equaliser. He made some great diagonal cross field passes also.

Just watched highlights on sky. What a performance. Could we now be playing the exciting attacking footy that Roman has been after? Ballack exceptional imo, but great team performance against a decent side. We made them look sh*t..

Who would have thought it, two games into the season and Frank is still to register a vote. Good to see he's not having to carry us so far this season
