It also begs the question: what kind of reception will Bridge get at the Bridge?

An interesting one.

Dont really see any reason why he should be booed. He hasnt done anything wrong.

Sadly Wayne Bridges association with Chelsea will now for a lot of people always be for non footballing reasons.

Personally i still like to think of him and THAT goal.

Well if Bridge and JT don't lock horns what's the point of the last week. Why Bridge didn't tell the press it meant nothing to him buggers belief. What kind of mate is he?

Jt reported on SSN as saying he plans to win back the Captains armband before the World Cup...thats the spirit, I bet Rio's nerves will be al over the place, be fun watching every mistake he makes.

We'll have to have a thread on here Ferdi watch.

dont think Bridge is to happy with JT at the moment. Thats the reason why he's lost the captaincy...

when a centre back spots a gap left by his full back isnt he supposed to fill the hole?

Don't see why he would get a bad reception as he hasn't done anything at all.

That has to be an unfounded rumor. If JT actually came out and said that, his PR man must be on drugs.

I can't see why you think that, he's the best leader in the team should he just give up on being Captain or let the Manager and the Public know he means to get his act together?

Can't see why its easier to believe rumours about what hes done with the world and its wife than that he is (maybe forlornly) hoping to win back his Captaincy.

I think JT should warn the England coach that if he doesn't get the captaincy back, Capello's missus is next on his list

Cappello believed the JT rumours easy enough...but that would be pushing it a bit :D

Are you kidding, from what I've heard even Gary Neville isn't safe in the showers when JT's around. Latest rumour has it that JT was caught in the act of shagging Yorkley Blue's inflatable pig.

And that was after he shagged my goat to death

But she died with a smile on her face!

The honest reason why Capello had JT remove the band?

Because every press conference between now and the WC stupid journos would pester JT with questions about his scandals, and not the actually sporting event the press conference was called for.

Basically it was a PR move, not necessarily for image, but to make sure the WC and team England get more coverage than JT and his "scandals" during Q&A with the reporters.

That would be my uneducated guess as I dont think Capello really gives a toss about his players sex lives. He cares nothing more than about results, and JT always delivers(except he cant deliver via the media anymore)!

and GJ at the Bridge, those of you who were there. JT got such overwhelming support he went out of his way to express his gratitude for it.

Give yourselves some credit for being some of the greatest fans on the planet!

John Terry has sent out a personal message to the fans on Chelsea TV, thanking them for their support over the last two weeks.

The centre-half and Chelsea skipper has been under intense pressure from the media over the last fortnight, culminating in the loss of the England captaincy on Friday, but turned in an excellent performance against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to help set up a memorable 2-0 win.

After the game the 29-year-old was given a standing ovation by the capacity crowd, and was eager to show his gratitude.

'On a personal note I'd like to thank every single fan today, it's a really emotional day for myself and the way the fans have been with me for the last two weeks, honestly it's incredible, I didn't expect that today,' he told the club's official channel.

'I go away full of delight today and I'd like to thank every single fan for the way they treated me. On a second note, as the manager said, we needed to defend well and I thought big Pete was brilliant. He came for crosses, made a great save from Bendtner in the second half and just scooped it away.

' Ash was brilliant, Riccy, Iva brilliant, really solid, but then going forward we were great and caught them a few times on the counter-attack, so overall a great performance and I mean it from my heart, I'd like to thank everyone for today, thank you.'

Was pleased to hear the crowd at the bridge supporting him, thought at the time how much it must have meant for him and long may the support continue. Whatever he has done off the field does not change the fact that he has fought like a monster on it for the club for over a decade

The support at the ground was immense - pretty much throughout the game

For one I am not bothered that Plug the Drug has the armband - takes a lot of pressure off JT and lets him concentrate on his club, the prem and the CL

Wont be surprised if he is wearing the armband in the not too distant - in the meantime leave it to Plug and the cheat
