I seem to remember the old East Stand still being there during that game. Could be wrong though as my memory plays tricks on me.
March 15, 20197 yr Beating Spuds 3-2 on 22nd Dec 1971 at The Bridge. League Cup Semi Final. Yeah it can't be the picture on the previous page that I thought was from this game The old Main Stand was still standing and in use when this game took place. The goals

Fast forward to the late 80's and I was now late teens, I got a couple of match of the day compliation videos for Xmas, one of the 60's and one of the 70's, as I sat there watching them, my dad walked in from work just as that Osgood goal was on the video, my old man shrieked " get in there Ossie", he then walked back out to the kitchen to say hello to my mum. Happy days

March 15, 20197 yr 1978-79, 75 against Palace and 1970 against Forest. And the 78-79 wasn't against QPR that's what it was like most of the time for years no one brought numbers down you could count the amount of away fans when the likes of Oldham, Burnley, Shrewsbury etc came down. It was really weird seeing 30 or 40 people jumping up and down in an end that held about 10,000. Edited March 16, 20197 yr by bluehaze
March 16, 20197 yr Three great pics posted above. The irony of 'Keep the gangways clear' sign, when there is only a single policeman on that part of the terracing ! I think the second picture is Palace at home in the FA Cup tie of 1976. Third picture. Ron Harris telling the ref: "Who me ref ? How could you think such a thing ?! "
