He loved it. A mate of mines Dad was also in the Met and got stationed at ours fairly regularly. He was a Newcastle fan. Remember him saying “ I generally throw out a few troublemakers then watch the game” My younger brother I recall got slung out the South Bank West Ham when we played there sometime in the late 80s, he could only guess for celebrating too wildly after we scored. Talking of Porridge, I watched a couple of episodes last night. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched Porridge but one of those programmes that is still as good as when it was first broadcast.
