Looking through some old posts and remembered the young bloke who was hanging out the window on the way back from Brighton and got hit by another train. Was in the same carriage and it was awful. Does anyone remember a fan falling out the top tier at Carlisle, I think he had a chefs hat on. It was a poor 0-0 draw same season 83/84

Remember it well, I was in the next carriage up. Think the train stopped at Clapbam Junction to take him off??? My mate was in the same carriage as you, gave me a pretty graphic description on the platform. Didn't somone pull the emergency cord at first? We were stuck outside the station for ages I think before it pulled in. Bit sketchy on some of the details but remember as clear as day standing on the platform and seeing my mate and him telling me what the hold up was. Those trains back from Brighton that day were packed.

Yeah I've seen a different one, was it panorama or something or was that the Millwall one? Well I'm still sporting my Skinhead but sadly I have no choice in the matter these days, lol!

Ditto. Why is it that your hair grows thinner, yet hair seems to sprout tenfold on your nose and your ears?. Maybe it's the sea air or too many cheap Hot Dogs filled with rubbish in The Shed over the decades.

yes your right, took him off at clapham junc. Stayed on life support for a while, but never recovered. Always remember thinking about having a Casey Jones at Victoria. (Remember them!) but after seeing him just felt sick. I think someone dragged a guard off another train to help in all the panic.

not sure, just wondered if anyone remembered it. We didn't have massive support up there, few hundred in the seats and a thousand on the open terrace.

I always say that grass doesn't grow on a busy street but its probably fear of the return to Liverpool street, lol!

Blimey, Casey jones now that is something I haven't heard in 25 years plus. I used to often munch one at Liverpool street station. Sorry for the slight tangent.

I got it from elsewhere & only way to get it was to put it on my phone then youtube, hence the poor quality, good footage though.

good find Carlshalton. Good result in a strange season, with a good outcome. Tried looking at some videos in earlier post's eg Ipswich v Chelsea 77/78 west ham vs Chelsea 77/78 and a couple of the ITN videos and comes up on my I phone as private cannot view, any ideas?

You should be able to still see the ITN clips mate, not sure on Eddie Macs vids to be honest, maybe he took them down? shame though.
