After the last home game of that season ?!

Beating Barnsley 3-1 on May Bank Holiday, 7th May 84.

It is indeed. 35 years ago. Scary to think where have all the years gone.

Would love to have that car - would be worth a few bob. Just checked and it's still about and taxed until June 2019!!

A classic car. One of the great rally cars. In 1970 there was a rally between London and Mexico to tie in with the World Cup in the latter. One of out former players, Jimmy Greaves took part as a co-driver and finished sixth. The race started not long after he had left the Spuds.

Funny, when ever I see that kit, I think of my pale pink lambswool Lyle and Scott jumper that I use to wear over the shirt. If not my diamond Pringle jumper

Some nice gear here even though I think I'm a bit old for a tracksuit top. Me and Ewell were talking about Slazenger jumpers click on the heritage link to see how much they cost !!

I still wear tachini, fila and ellese track tops and I'm turning 50 this week. I'm not sure whether it's me being all trendy and retro, a sad old man clinging hold of my youth or just lazy and can't be bothered to iron and just sling on a tracksuit top!!

A bit off subject but an article about Archibald Leitch who was involved in the design of Stamford Bridge. I'm a bit biased but I think that the main stand at Ibrox is one of the most impressive stands at a football ground.

I was 21 in that season, and like chi blue, I was also in my Lyle and Scott and Pringles. The good times !

Some player was Charlie Cooke.

Yeah he was, I remember him doing a brilliant bit of skill in the 70 Cup Final at Wembley, about on the half way line I think, which is now known as a "rabona".
