Remember THAT season wearing Lois bleached jeans, bought Pringle polo shirts jumpers, Lyle & Scott jumpers. Wore Navy Blue suede Adidas trainers but can’t remember the name. Before Gazelles came out. Also had white and royal blue Dia Dora trainers. Never wore jumbo cords although they were really popular.

I also had white and blue Diadora trainers but my mate had the white with gold ,and I freely admit after 30 plus years I was always jealous !

I had a pair of Lois electric blue cords. Not sure if I'll still fit into them for Leicester away in a couple of weeks though!!! All these years on and they seem to have shrunk!!!!

Talking of trainers these are getting rereleased next month . Not quite the original Bern they look a bit like Gazelles -Sambas but a very nice trainer nonetheless. Someone is already selling them pre-order on Ebay no doubt someone who works for Size who's trousering a few quid.

Yes, without doubt if I was asked my top 3 ever games I've been to, that would be in there, simply I have never known an atmosphere before during and after a game, even now thinking of that night puts the old hairs on the back up, I was nearly 16 and coming back into school next day after going that night made me Billy big bollox amongst the rest of the 5th year!!!

In today’s money you could have ground entry for 8 quid, or an East Lower ST for 200 smackers.

Yep. Had a pair with a red swoosh back then too but not sure they were Wimbledon’s.

Edit to above. Just looking online, Nike Wimbledon were only with the blue swoosh. Highly amusing advertising logo
