Any game recommendation?

Featured Replies

I've been playing it for ages but have hardly got anywhere (that's how I like to play it, I'm just exploring at the moment). The areas of the world map open currently are White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad and the Skellige Islands. Do any other areas open up throughout the game?

Have any of you done the mission where you have to kill the botchling? Its bluming difficult. Them spirit things kill your energy as there's so many of them. Frustrating!

Both of both, he was a pretty tough cookie but no match for me.

Haha, indeed.

This article on Kotaku raises a good point. The great thing about this game is that each side-quest feels like a story in itself, since they all have their own cutscenes. "The smallest of quests are thick with dialogue and story".

That's what I really like about this game, the simplest of "fetch quests" don't feel like just going to point A, killing something and checking something off a list, (I'm talking to you, Assassins Creed) it feels like it's part of the wider story.

And as the Kotaku article points out, the game is HUGE. No shortage of things to do. Excellent.

^ Yup, played it when it came out, fantastic game. The powers were loads of fun, being able to slow time, teleport yourself from one place to another and possess rats was amazing!

I was hoping they'd make another but doesn't look like it's happening.

I'm finding the Witcher so difficult that it's putting me off playing. I think my problem is that I've not spent much time doing side missions and building my character up. Last couple of missions I've had to drop it down to the easiest level.

Sad, I know.

I've done that mission..the bear is huge!

Yeah haha. Reminded me of the mission in Dragon Age Inquisition - "Where the Druffalo Roam" I think it was called. Most pointless fetch mission ever. I'm loving the game but the main story missions do seem to be along the lines of *talk to character A for information on Ciri* - *do favour for character A involving character B for information* - *do favour for character B in order to do favour for character A*.

I'm losing track!

Far Cry 4 is one of my favourite games of the last few years. Dragon Age was decent but I didn't get that into it. COD has a decent single player compared to its last efforts and the same can be said for multiplayer but I'd leave that till better single player games have been completed.

So Far Cry!

Picked up some new games yesterday, I've got Dragon Age, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and Far Cry 4.

What shall I play first?

Dragon Age didn't age very well, might want to leave that one till last.

Loving Witcher 3 atm.

Still not that far into the story, but I've got tons to do.

Same here, I've just moved from on to the second area, its massive.

I'm level 13 on Witcher.

Done a lot of quests already, I've noticed that the main quests really leap in suggested character level to play them so you have to do a lot if side quests to progress.

Hunter contracts are my favourite, done about six of them now.

Doing a load of contracts at the moment.

Jenny of the Woods is a bitch.

I also killed Kiera Metz. Anyone else kill her too? f**king bitch

The only real critisicm of the game so far is the lack of different looking scenery. So far it's been all the same. Swamps. Fields. Ruined villages....
