I was so excited about the Nintendo Switch until they announced the price.

£280 for the base unit with no game.

It will bomb over here.

Wii sold over 100m units.

Didn't have good games on it but it still sold well.

The DS is one of the best selling handhelds too.

(But I get what you're saying).

Nonsense. Ever heard of the Gamecube?? A brilliant console.

Gamecube was so-so for me, it was the games that let nintendo down I feel, i know the sales numbers were decent and things but for people who are into games the arrival of the PS2 and Xbox really crushed nintendo. The N64 was and probably still is my favourite console. the original Super Smash Bros, Mortal Combat, Super Mario 64 etc were brilliant. I've been considering buying one again for nostalgia's sake..

But Gamecube had Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, Wave Race, Super Smash Bros Melee (to date, the best SSB game IMO), Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda: Twilight Princess, just to mention a few! I never felt the need to buy a PS2 or Xbox.

The N64 is still my favourite console (I still have it, including the games you mentioned, HA!)  but I often think that Gamecube is overlooked by a lot of people.

One of Codemasters' most fondly remembered series is returning, with Micro Machines World Series coming to Xbox One, PC and PS4 on April 21st.

The new game features familiar backdrops from the 1991 original, reimagined for the new hardware and complemented by new modes and a Battle Arena that comes complete with Capture the Flag and King of the Hill modes. Four player multiplayer will be supported on one system, while 12 players can compete online and there'll be 12 vehicles to play with.

Oh yes, very much yes.....

Anyone heard of any boxing games for ps4? Theres not been a fight night for ages, and there seems to be so many talented boxers about at the moment, it seems like a no brainer for ea.

What utter rubbish, the only acceptable consoles are from Nintendo. Far better than those kids toys from Sony and Microsoft.

Used to love fight night round 4 on the 360. Class game.

Finished with Ratchet & Clank, platinum done.

Moved onto Lego Star Wars Force Awakened as something easy going to play and chip away at for a couple of weeks whilst I wait for some new games to release.

I played the Beta demo of Nioh over the weekend which has a bit of a Dark Souls sort of vibe to it. It was pretty hard, combat is really unforgiving. It's out around Feb 8th so I might pick it up.

Other than that I'm waiting for Horizon Zero Dawn which I'm pretty hyped to play and then South Park Fractured But Whole but I don't think that's out until the end of March.

Seeing/hearing good things about Resident Evil 7, although they're not really my type of game.

Well we won't get to play it until 2020 so I'm struggling to form an opinion just yet.

Really? Why the hell is it taking so long to make?

Because it's Kojima.

I don't think he's even decided on a game engine yet. Then three more years to actually make the game. Development cycles are getting longer on the new consoles and Kojima is f**king barmy.

Ain't that the truth.
