Problem with snowboarding games nowadays is that they are trying to be too realistic. Even SSX has gone down that route when it used to be all about pulling crazy tricks and just generally doing arcadey stuff.

The last one was terrible compared to their previous versions, different developers I believe. Unless they go back to what made SSX great in the first place I would rather see the franchise die off and I say that as a huge SSX fan.

There is truth in your words. I think SSX Tricky is the best one because it's just so insane and ridiculous

Over 100 hours on Skyrim now and nowhere near finished. Every quest seems to lead to 2 more.

I know the feeling Zeta! I ploughed at least 15 hours into it this weekend and I'm drowning in quests. The scope of the game is amazing but im so glad I am playing it again since I didn't get through even half of them 5 years ago.

I've started the Hearthfire expansion where you get to build your own house, which I'm having fun with. Built a few display cases and weapon racks, got a nice kitchen, bedroom and outside a cow, two chickens and a horse! It's all coming together...

I built my house in Lakeview, I've got my bedroom, kids bedroom, library, cellar, stables, small garden. Got my own smelter, workbench and grindstone, alchmey table and enchanters table. Basically I only have to leave the house to gather resources now.

Only problem is that there is a novice necromancer who keeps performing sacrificial rituals just behind my house and I don't think that's a good influence on the kids.

Also the giant who keeps wandering into my front garden.

LOL how is there a giant anywhere NEAR your house?? I didn't think there were any in that area! And for your kids' sake, I think you should "take care" of the necromancer.

For some reason it's not letting me build a kids bedroom yet, the option doesn't come up when I talk to my housecarl or look at the drafting book. I want to adopt, dammit!

I've killed the necromancer about 5 times, but he keeps respawning. It's a hard life keeping my kids safe.

I don't think there is a "kids bedroom", if you go to your table it's just "bedrooom" I think, then you do the workbench inside the room and add single beds.

Yes I've done that but whenever I talk to Constance in Riften at the orphanage about adopting she keeps saying "sorry, but until you have a house and suitable environment for a child, I cannot let you....etc etc" .

Might have to buy a house in Solitude or somewhere and try there.

Got married yesterday! To Camilla who worked at the Riverwood Trader. Fit. She has now moved in with me.

Been dipping back in to Skyrim, can only play a couple of hours at most and then I get a bit bored. It's possibly because of how much I've managed to progress my sneak and archery (both at 70+) skill that most enemies no long pose a threat.

Not married or adopted a kid yet... Not really something I've thought to try and do. Got the house in Whiterun because it's right next to the blacksmiths so is handy for levelling up smithing skill (at around 55 now).

Meanwhile on Battlefield I've passed level 50 now. Medic is by far my favourite class, managing to finish games in the top 3 consistently mainly through getting so many revives and heals. Such a good online experience, possibly the best I've ever played.

Actually there are "children's beds", have you definitely added those?

It doesn't give me the option when I try to build furniture! Im livid.

You must have put an obscene amount of time into Battlefield! I'm a level 10 medic I think. It's definitely the way to go though, healing people gives you sh*t loads of points, in some cases, almost as much as a kill. A very immersive and quite frankly thrilling game to play, especially in Operations. I will NEVER go back to COD.

Yeah I'm playing as a medic as well. I love that I can get a huge amount of points are barely kill anyone. Only level 6 at the min but rank 18 in total

One of my favourite things to do is go round sneaking up on the snipers and stabbing. So funny. Selfish buggers.

Really want a new game to play, only really playing Overwatch and FIFA 17 on a regular basis now.

Just got GTA V like a year after it was released, it's pretty boring. Most interesting so far as been racing online to be honest.

Thinking of getting the new Final Fantasy game and Skyrim but both are quite expensive, don't like spending that much unless I know I will like the game 100%.

Skyrim is only 25 quid on Amazon. Get it!

I got the Skyrim version with all the DLCs on Steam ages ago. You get the Special Edition for free with that as well, but I havne';t downloaded that as my internet is sh*te and it would take days.

You guys are doing the lord's work haha, I play as assault mostly (level 10 on assault and support, don't really use the rest) and having a good medic on the team really helps, it gives you the freedom to go forward and clear objectives knowing there's someone coming up behind you to revive you if you go down. I'm really hitting my stride in this game though, starting to finish top of the leaderboard in most Operations games now. It's very different from previous Battlefield games and thoroughly enjoyable, haven't enjoyed an online experience this much since MW2.

Got Battlefield 1 the other day, Really enjoying it definitely more objective based than the previous games. Can't quite find a class I'm fully comfortable with at the moment though.

Also playing Life is Strange on Episode 4.. Wow what a game only £4.99 on the ps store too 1st episode free.. well worth checking out if you've not played.

woooooooooo

I played the Last of Us on PS4 (the remaster) after not playing it on PS3. I'd watched gameplay on youtube....and I still enjoyed it immensely when I did play it.

For this one, there'll be no spoilers for me. I will be playing it unseen (like it should be), and I can't wait.

I do have some theories as to what might be going on in the trailer, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. I imagine it'll be a couple of years before we get it though.

I thought The Last of Us was dreadful. I've never played such a dull game.

Im very aware I'm in the 0.1% of people who think this, but I just couldn't get into it. I played about 3/4 of the story but ended up trading it in in the end.

Don't worry, you're not alone on that one!

I played it at a mates house and just didnt get it at all, same as those Telltale games that seem to be everywhere now. Set piece button pressing just does nothing for me at all.
