December 24, 20178 yr Tales from the Borderlands - 8.5 This was a funny game. Funny characters, all a bit silly, but wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The characters are interesting and just funny. :p . The plot was pretty good as well. The Walking Dead - 9 Quite moving. Wasn't expecting this to be so good. Great characters, story, atmosphere. Excellent Life is Strange - 8.5 Strange feeling playing as a little teenaged American High school girl, but this was a strange and captivating game. It looked fantastic, and there was something about it that lingers with you afterwards. (gets a bit crazy towards the end, one part especially) but it was good. Wolf Among Us - 8 Another one I really didn't think I'd enjoy. Just the kind of thing I hate, looking at it. But I was wrong. Main character is good. Fairy tale characters living in the real world... main character is rough and rugged and likeable, too. For a point and click game it had some quite vicious quicktime fightings sequences. Arkham City - 8 A game that makes you feel like you are Batman. :p excellent cinematic presentation, graphics, combat, stealth, bosses... State of Decay - 7 Good style if survival open world gameplay. It felt a bit... and unpolished and uncooked? Like it was a tester for an actual game. But some of the missions in the game were very intense, because a character is finished for good if you die using them. Rummaging about for supplies in abandoned houses in the dark, knowing any moment some zombie could jump out at you... Intense. The Last of Us - 7.5 See above PES 2017 - 8 Felt better to play than FIFA. Smoother, more satisfying and flexible gameplay. Presentation outdated. Commentary absolutely awful. Jim Beglin will make your ears bleed. Modes are not many or that great. But it was still good. A lot of the newer games don't seem to interest me so much. I had a look at what's been released in 2017, and going by reviews and bits of gameplay, I just don't feel like playing them, tbh. A few I might pick up when they come out: Days Gone Spiderman TloU Part 2 Metro Exodus Edited December 24, 20178 yr by Sun zhi
December 27, 20178 yr My PS4 fan decided to pack up a couple of weeks back so haven't been playing anything recently. The whole console was running sluggishly for a while so probably should of saw it coming. Thinking of picking up a PS4 Pro in the new year. Anyone that's got one is it worth the extra £100 or so?
January 5, 20188 yr Just finished The Order 1866 last night in a second sitting. Only played it because it was meant to be short, with a supposedly good story Apparently this was a huge flop of a game... I actually very much enjoyed playing it. Simple gameplay, nothing extraordinary, but there's constant action interspersed with the plot always unfolding... Not too much getting from here to there. Enjoyed the linearity of it. Pros: - Great graphics and detailed environments - Excellent setting, atmosphere, sound - Voice acting superb, characters are good - Engaging story - A little bit of variety in gameplay. Not too much, but enough. - Decent choice of weapons Cons: - On the short side - Some why on earth is he doing that moments and plot threads left answered but still very engaging - Lazy by developers with all the QuickTime events and pointless prompts to explore. Still, some fantastic fighting and action animations and sound effects. - Boss fight a little too easy Edited January 5, 20188 yr by Sun zhi

January 26, 20188 yr Finally got my little girl minecraft (not for me, honest). Anyone know of any good sites with step by step builds for stuff?
January 30, 20188 yr Anyone want to buy a PS4? I never use it, so it's just wasting away in the cupboard.

Best thing you can do DKW is go on youtube, it gives you step by step, easily the best platform for starting up. My little sister plays minecraft and that's what she always uses, basically thousands of accounts that offer you step by step tutorials.

Yeah that's what I've done, I can see why it's so popular, it's bloody addictive.

Bought it at lunch and took it home to get the 20GB update happening while I came back to work. I agree but I'm hoping for a good story and actual repercussion to decisions, not the perceived ones in Elder Scrolls/Fallout.
February 15, 20188 yr Went back to play Witcher 3, mild brag - I got all the mother funking gwent cards!!!!

February 16, 20188 yr 4 minutes ago, Stim said: Strongly considering buying a ps4 just to play it instead of waiting for PC release :| I knew nothing about the series but saw a lot of good reviews, I think it's joint 5th highest rated game on Metacritic. Had a look at a few reviews and it looked like something I might enjoy. So I took a chance on it and gave it a go, I've replayed Dark Souls 3 recently, played a fair bit of CoD WWII but fancied something new to play and the reviews made this sound like a game you could your moneys worth from. I saw a few user reviews that made me cautious, saying that they'd put 5 or so hours into it and just flat out didn't like it. It was boring, frustrating, too obtuse. Anyway, the fact that straight away you've got 14 different weapons to choose from is a bit overwhelming, especially as the play style required can vary quite a lot. I started out with twin blades which gives you a bit of a button mashing, hack and slash style approach but ended up settling on the greatsword because I've liked playing as a tank type character so it's natural for me to go with a big hitter play style. The game's tutorials are almost non exsistant beyond some really basic pointers so if you want to make the most of the game you'll have to look a few things up, thankfully there's plenty of forums, youtube videos etc. to help out. You end up grinding areas and monsters a lot to get weapons and armour you want but honestly, that's the fun. Slowly improving how you fight the various monsters, learning their move sets, learning their weakpoints, learning the environments and how best to use them to your environment. It's quite a geeky game but we're discussing video games on a football forum on the internet so I'm sure that won't put most of you off.
February 16, 20188 yr Back on the Pokemon Yellow. I'm tempted to buy a 3DS, as apparently you can get the old games on there now, so I could play through them all. Problem is, no matter how many times I play them, I can never settle on 6 pokemon, I mean there are so many to choose from. So far my squad this time around is: Nidoking, Venasaur, Bellsprout, Oddish, Dratini
