Kevin De Bruyne

Extra time is a Belgian TV Program. He was a guest in that program and yes the quotes are true. He is injured at the moment and RC Genk won't talk about transfers till 27/08. He's the best winger on the field in Belgium at the moment but needs a couple of years till he can even think about premier league. In the Belgian press there's a rumor that he will sign Chelsea but will be hired to RC Genk for another year or 2. (http://www.nieuwsblad.be/article/detail.aspx?articleid=K43E3VF4 it's dutch but you can translate it :) ) The transfer would be around 10.000.000€. This website isn't the best but it's like second division it's better than the most rumors sites but that doesn't mean that every thing they say is true.

sorry for my bad English I'm Belgian :)

Robben, I think, was a bit more of a hot property than KDB when we signed him. This is a bigger gamble. But one we should take.

actually people who saw the match yesterday will have noticed that the midfield was a litle overpowered (/understatement) a litle movie from him on youtube:

) He's actualy one of the reasons why Genk is the champion of belgium this year. together with a certain Courois ;)

Just about to say that. I don't think anyone had heard of this kid when the story first appeared. Robben on the other hand was one of the most highly rated prospects at the time.

Still worth taking a chance as you say. Interesting that he says "If there is an agreement with Chelsea, I would certainly spend another year at Genk." .If we are planning on getting anther winger in for now, and then bringing De Bruyne back when Anelka and possibly Kalou leave next season, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Thanks for the info.

If he is good enough now,why not play him, seems foolhardy if he is going to be loaned back,we could do with him now..

I think the reason is that is is not good enough right now. From the reports it seems like he needs more experience, but certainly looks like a really hot prospect and ideal for the future.

He is not good enough. I saw him against Partizan, he didn't show much.

Oh, I forgot no good player can have a flat game...we better sell our entire squad, they've had more than one average game.

Belgium are going to have a pretty good side come World Cup time. Courtois, Kompany, Vermaelen, De Bruyne, Fellaini, Hazard, Lukaku all 25 or under.

Not forgetting defour witsel and mignolet whos impressing at sunderland

Fully understand the reasoning behind loaning him back, although personally i would like to see him with us from the start and given a few games to see him fully and ti assess if he is already developed enough to play regularly in the EPL. If not, then we can loan him out at a later date.

Brilliant future ahead of them for sure. I'm glad we are noticing that. I hope we finalize our 'belgian hat-trick' soon.

he had very 2 quiet games against partizan, a team thats weaker than top 15 in the premier league

He is not good enough to sign him now, and we already have two very good RBs.

Doesnt matter who it was against, you cant decide whether a player is good enough from watching one game.

Hes not a rb, and he maybe isnt good enough right now, hence the feeling he would stay at his club on loan for a year.
