Welcome, Zippy. Thanks for your input. I was very proud of your team when they dealt so easily with Real at the Bernabeu. And it is good to see Robben playing well again.

Thanks mate, thankfully I had Thursday off work, by the end of extra time and penalties I was more than a little bit drunk ! We have a great record over the years against Madrid.

Robben is very popular over here, the fans love him, although the absolute idol of the fans is Ribery.

Bayern having the extra rest will go one of two ways, either allowing their players to run rings around our tired legs or leaving them a little rusty.

Either way though our attack minus Ramires vs their attack does not make for good reading. If Cahill misses out both sides will have less than optimum defences out and we are more likely to be punished than they are.

Also have to wonder how many in the stadium will be supporting the blues and how many Bayern? Will more likely be a home crowd for them with a few more away fans than the norm.

hi zippy.i am intrigued that your fans "love him".my memories of him at chelsea were,a great talent but a bit whimpish in the premiership and easily dealt with.maybe the bundesliga(sorry spelling)suits him more.

the bookmakers have you at 4/9 favourites, akin to a top of the table team beating the bottom placed.this is ridiculous.maybe under avb but not now.even with the depleted teams, this game will be won by a 'team' not individuals, which i feared with real madrid.

anyway, i wish you all the best when we lift the cup in munich!.

A - Maybe he just has more experience now, he was a young lad when he joined Chelsea, he still had hair ! He's been a great player for us including in the CL against the likes of Man Utd and Real.

B - I take no notice of the odds tbh, the odds said that the final would be Real v Barcelona, where are they now ?

C - As long as it's not this year mate !

One thing is for sure..Every member of our team will know how Robben plays...He will be fast and a handfull, but , does the same thing everytime..Runs past players...jigs this way and that ...BUT..9 out of ten times will then , around the penalty area move to his left foot...Dangerous but PREDICTABLE...therefore stoppable..

Not only have the media completely written us off for this final, it appears our fans have as well.

We'll do them 3-1, stop worrying.

Because we always seem to play better when most people don't believe that we can win?

The more I think about this, the more I believe this will most certainly be our hardest match of the year even eclipsing the Barca ties.

We're going to play a rested team, in their home stadium. We're going to also play a team that didn't get much of a chance to beat RM (it wasn't as bad as us but they were certainly underdogs). They are going to be hungry to win it just like we are. We're going to need it all for this one.

Even with their suspensions, they will be dangerous. Bayern has no problems with finishing especially with Gomez at the tip.

I have faith the lads will do it though. We'll do some heroic defending and hit them on the counter. Same game plan that we deployed against Barca but we'll have some chances to attack.

Bayern 1 - 2 Chelsea

Robben, Chelsea is a great team and if there is any team other then us to win it im happy for them.

Just seen that now in his interview post game Madrid.

It may well be that all Sun readers want Bayern to beat us. But I'm not sure how many Sun readers there are. I think most of them just look at the pictures.

Surely having the words "Sun" and "readers" together is some sort of oxymoron.

Well I never expected to see that, a German dictating what the rest of Europe should think.........

Rummenigge misquoted yet again. He actually said that he has had good wishes from all over europe about the final, not that everyone wants us to win.

However the gutter press feel the need to add a large portion of bullcrap to stir up some sh*t, the Sun, why does that not surprise me !?

True the "sun girl" is most likely responsable for the majority of the "papers" sales lol

I'm curious Zippy, almost all the other fans from the 19 premier league sides will want Bayern to beat us no doubt, as will a lot of the football league side fans. Will the other fans from the German leagues want Bayern to win it for Germany or want to see you fall at the last hurdle, like the other English fans want to see from us?

A bit of both mate. On the one hand there are plenty who would like us to lose just as there are plenty in England who'd like to see you lose. On the other hand now that I live up north my local bar is populated mostly by Hannover fans with a sprinkling of Bremen, HSV and Wolfsburg lads, most of them generally hate Bayern and when we lose I get some stick !

But the majority of these lads have already said that they want us to win the final, Karl an old guy who would swear Bayern were lucky in the Bundesliga if we won it by 20 points, told me yesterday "I'll be supporting you in the final, good for Germany and the Bundesliga".

Now it would be nice if some of the other english fans thought that way, given stick in the domestic scene but in europe we represent our leagues and countries. Most of the rival fans will just insist our style against Barca was not football at all and for that we deserve to get beat.

Success brings envy, envy brings hate. I was on the Man City forum when they were playing us earlier in the season. Most of them were good lads but they were slagging Man Utd off without realising that with the big success they are expecting and demanding other clubs will see them in exactly the same way.

I tell the Bayern haters over here that if it wasn't us or Dortmund they would find someone else to hate, every top league has one or two clubs that are successful and everyone else can't stand, it's human nature. Bayern have stayed at the top in Germany while all the others come and go but never been in debt, I admit I'm proud of that. Let them hate, it doesn't stop us winning.

When the oppositions fans hate you it generally means you are a good side, take it as a compliment.

As for the way you played against Barcelona. You played the entire second half with ten men, any other approach would have been suicide. What did they expect ?
