If Sturridge is not leaving, once Moses and Azpi (some media are saying he signed last night) arrive I think we’re done. A forth striker or a forth central defender are a bit like a third goalkeeper for me, unless you find e veteran happy to sit on the bench and still capable of doing a good job when called upon I don’t think we should bother getting them. Especially when Ivanovic con cover the CD role and we only play with one striker. As for the DM if Mikel can get back to the form that he showed towards the end of last season we are covered there as well. All the players are a bit off form at the moment, I don’t see why people expect Mikel to be at his peak already.

Players out - I don’t think Malouda and Benayoun are gonna get a look in therefore they should go. Mereiles con cover various roles in the middle of the park so I would keep him.

Swapping Sturridge for De Jong, are you serious? Do you genuinely think De Jong is better than Mikel? There's a reason City haven't played him since they stopped being super-defensive, the criticism we have of Mikel is him slowing the play down etc. but De Jong is dreadful with the ball at his feet.

And I don't think Sturridge will leave so long as he gets his chance this season. I don't think we should let him leave, either, as I think he's got far more potential than most on here think.

Mikel was great against Reading, I don't get the criticism.

I think Mikel's fine for the time being, tbh, his weakness is slowing down the play when we need to attack with tempo but he's tecfhnically good enough to play at a higher tempo so I hope he can just be taught it.

Plus we have yet to see how Essien is with a full pre-season. There's also Romeu, who we all thought would be a star, so I'd like to see him get games. It's not our strongest position, but we have 2 good young DMs who can "do a job" for the time being with potential to be really good, and Essien needs no introduction...

I'd rather we got a new DM as Mikel isn't the best, Romeu doesn't look ready, Lamps doesn't look right there and Essien on last seasons viewing doesn't look the same player but I don't think we'll be buying anyone for this position.

But I do believe we'll be in for Cesar need a RB so badly.

I always thought M'Villa would be perfect for our team, reminds me of a younger Maka.

Just maybe the odd 1 but not to this extent for a long time.

We will see the likes of Essien, Yossi, Malouda ect being shipped out while people like Josh and Lukaku come back better players.

Yeh i think after this summers spending were all set up for next 18 months especially with the Financial fair play rules coming.

Goalkeeper- Courtois will come in at some point in next 18 months and Blackman looks quite able cover in later years

Defence - Chalobah , kalas and hopefully Kane at some point will cover these in future.

Midfield - well covered for years with all the young Players plus Josh and Debruyne to come in .

Attack- Hopefully Lakaku will have a good season with Wba and come back next year , piazon will be a year older and hopefully Bamford and Feruz will mature in next 2-3 years to challenge.

I think we're good for players now, assuming Moses joins. We've got good cover in all positions and some bright prospects out on loan.

If we sign anybody else it should only be a special case, we'd be stupid to turn down Neymar for example if should the opportunity arise to sign him.

Im quite happy as it is if we get vic mo, but id take Cavani or Fellaini any day !
