August 1, 201411 yr One could say that, however considering the previous achievements of the two of them i'd say my scenario is a tad more likely. Why? Because he scored a few goals playing for West Brom and Everton? Yeah, more proven than Bamford but come on... Players would defend Lukaku a lot more differently at Chelsea and who knows maybe the pressure of scoring for a top notch club would be an impact. Obviously we are taking speculation and unless you have a crystal ball either of us have no idea what could or could not happen. I wish he stayed tbh but he felt he would perform better else where. I won't speculate and say he is a weak minded player because who knows? While we are both speculating, we can not rule out a return back to Chelsea right? Odds don't seem that way but odds are there to be smashed so who knows?
August 1, 201411 yr CFC I doubt Lukaku strictly wanted to be no 1. That's just hearsay by Jose. Again, on the wind up! It is abundantly clear that you do not like Jose and will take a stab any way you can. I said this already but you seem to be going for the Borat-Balkey-Mr. Bean approach. Let me wind up everyone saying Jose is rubbish and how we all are clueless. Give it a rest already!
August 1, 201411 yr Don't begrudge him a bit for leaving, but also don't blame us for selling. He's found his level for now I think. His touch wasn't good enough for here, but his goalscoring meant he didn't deserve to be third choice striker either. Best of luck to him, thanks to Everton for the 28m and we can all go on our merry way. Spiller, could not agree more. It is a win win for all, except Lukaku is a bit far from the Champions League at the moment. Personally, love to see Everton there but considering they have done f**k all so far this off-season while everyone around them strengthened I am willing to bet he won't get there with Everton this year or maybe the next few. I can easily see him throw the rattle from the pram when he is 24 and 3 years in to his contract and want to jump ship though. Edited August 1, 201411 yr by DoubleHelix
August 1, 201411 yr I prefer bamford. He is English and I love his commitment to work hard. I really hope he gets his chance after he scores a ton for his loan club next season.
August 1, 201411 yr Was on the cards really, he had been making snide comments for ages now and he obviously doesn't have the right mentality to work hard and be a top class striker so getting £28m for him is a great deal, No idea who will replace him as a HG player (If he was counted as HG having joined quite young).
August 1, 201411 yr that's how chelsea makes money, if there world class we keep or there good but not at level we need sell them making profit buying bigger world class talents, we don't do the youth conveyor belt like united or southampton we want proven players?. so lukku can go do one Edited August 1, 201411 yr by arklord

August 1, 201411 yr thank god this lame transfer saga has ended...we got a good bit of loot for him too
August 3, 201411 yr I see Mr. Bean Helix is trolling again. I am Mr. Bean? Your the one on here for a few months winding everyone up like a child not me.
August 3, 201411 yr I see Mr. Bean Helix is trolling again. I don't post here as much as others but my god you're annoying with the dialect of an immature 12 year old, I wouldn't be surprised if you were an arsenal or liverpool fan.
August 3, 201411 yr Romelu Lukaku has hit back at Jose Mourinho following his £28million exit from Chelsea, reports the Daily Star. Mourinho delivered a parting shot at the Belgian striker following his permanent move to Everton, claiming Lukaku was not prepared to fight for his place. But the 21-year-old has hit back, claiming he was never given a fair chance at Chelsea, and needed to be at a club where it ‘felt right.’ He said: “I want to develop and become one of the best and the manager wants to make our team one of the best teams in England. “So to me it was a great challenge to play under him. I need to play at a high level and play in a good team. I’m not saying Chelsea are not a good team but I needed to be in a place where it felt right. “I have the trust of the supporters. I can grow. I can develop. It almost feels that I belong here. That’s why I came back. “I have a very good relationship with the players and the staff. Everybody who is involved at this football club. So for me this is the place where I belong. “Expectations for myself are very high and here it is a good environment to develop as a young player. We have a lot of young players in the team who want to work hard and a manger who is ambitious. “For me it’s easy. I just want to improve and get better year after year. Our ambition is to become one of the best in the country. To challenge to be fourth.” The last part sums Lukaku up, content to be fourth as opposed to challenge himself to be in a team that aspires to be first.
August 3, 201411 yr f**k him. Drogba was an absolute unknown, playing in the french league, but he was willing to challenge himself and go to a new country, playing for a top club, challenging for major honours. If lukaku doesn't have the same ambition, then au revoir.
August 3, 201411 yr http://www.givemesport.com/490597-jose-mourinho-will-live-to-regret-selling-romelu-lukaku?&autoplay=on An impressive stat, although bear in mind that more than half of his goals were in the Belgian league.
August 3, 201411 yr My sister's dog could make it in the Belgian league, notice how none of their decent players actually play there.
August 4, 201411 yr Well, since your ambition is a top 4 finish ( which won't be achieved anytime soon), you have no reason to be at Chelsea anyway. He had 2 solid seasons with zero expectations on him, he scored goals but all the poor games were completely ignored. This time he's the record signing, possibly the highest paid player, better deliver or he will be under scrutiny soon.
August 5, 201411 yr I'm disappointed with his attitude. I was always a supporter of his on here, and I still wish he'd made it, but he let himself down. From what I understand he asked for the loan last season, and he probably instigated the transfer this season when Costa was bought. He didn't want to fight for his position, he expected to be handed the start at a club like ours. That's just delusional. He could have stayed last season and beaten out Torres and Eto'o on his own merit, and been our main man today - or preferably in competition with only Costa. But it seems he'd rather be a big fish in a small pond. I wish him well with Everton but I think he'll grow to regret it. Everton are a notorious almost team, they just won't be able to beat out the other contenders for that contentious CL spot over a season. It's ultimately bad news for us because our striker problems looked over with Costa and Lukaku, but now we're relying entirely on Costa unless a surprise is on the cards.
February 13, 201511 yr Lukaku apparently wants to play for a 'top club' again: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/9712353/premier-league-everton-striker-romelu-lukaku-wants-to-move-to-a-top-club “It was brilliant to play at Chelsea and I had a good reception. They know I’m a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea. I don’t have a secret ambition to rejoin — there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.”
