February 15, 201511 yr I lost respect for Lukaku a long time ago but now he's justified why it was worth selling him and why he'll never be a great player until he trains hard, works hard and actually earns the plaudits and respect he deserves by playing good football rather than talking himself up in the media. He's attitude pissed me off when he was with us and I was ecstatic he was gone and I was even more delighted by the 28m transfer fee we received from Everton which was an absolute rip-off for the Toffees. My impressions is they wouldn't be disappointed if he was gone as well especially after his latest declaration of wanting to play for a 'top club'. He has a terrible first touch which I can't see improving too much and his body language can be very poor when things aren't going his way. His upper body strength is his biggest advantage otherwise he's a good ordinary player who will contribute well as a striker but won't ever become elite. Even though he was being berated by Everton fans for his poor performances, his terrible first touch and his crappy attitude in games, I kept trying to back him as I thought he'd get better with time and plus we haven't really been playing to his strengths; unfortunately, when he spoke out about playing for a 'big' club again, he completely lost my faith in him. He's all talk but his performances on the pitch isn't as good as how he makes himself out to be. I wonder if he's looking to make a move in the summer. Anyway, he needs to walk the walk rather than talk the talk.
February 15, 201511 yr Even though it's satisfying to know, in a funny sort of way, that he regrets not being at Chelsea, his club pays a massive fee like that for him, and he repays that faith with mediocre/poor goal return and stuff like that comment. February 16, 201511 yr If Romelu wants to play for a top club he needs to earn the right to do so. This idea that he thinks everything should be handed to him on a platter is what will continue to hold him back. Everton fans must be angry with his latest comments. I certainly would be if I supported them and the fact that they splashed out 28m to obtain him would further infuriate them. His attitude was terrible at Chelsea so this isn't the first club where he's had an inflated sense of ego.
February 19, 201511 yr Hat trick against Young Boys in the Europa. Was just watching thinking the usual of absolute dogsh#t touch. But scored a hat trick nonetheless.
February 19, 201511 yr Oh ok just missed a sitter 6 yards out, ball did skip across the surface to him in all fairness.
February 23, 201511 yr Oh ok just missed a sitter 6 yards out, ball did skip across the surface to him in all fairness. Missed a shed load of chances (no pun intended) yesterday. He's not really doing in the Prem
April 3, 201511 yr http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/20876/9787180/romelu-lukaku-is-better-than-diego-costa-and-should-not-have-joined-everton-says-mino-raiola It seems that Romelu has found a new agent with an even bigger mouth than him.
April 3, 201511 yr Well Lukaku has the first touch of a drunk Costa does not. That should be the end of that.
April 3, 201511 yr Actually I think Costa's first touch lets him down far too often but he's a much better player than Lukaku
April 3, 201511 yr Lukaku's reputation and performances are suffering because of his mouth and what his clients say for him. It's all fine having confidence, but Lukaku is just arrogant and not as great as he thinks he is.
April 3, 201511 yr I was delighted when he left. No place for players who openly disrespect their clubs. Sterling seems to be made of the same stuff
April 4, 201511 yr I was delighted when he left. No place for players who openly disrespect their clubs. Sterling seems to be made of the same stuff how has sterling disrespected his club?
April 4, 201511 yr Everyday I'm even more glad we sold him, overrated arrogant idiot. Still, I'm disappointed how it turned out. If he had kept his head down and worked his socks off, he could have been a valuable player for us. Oh well, modesty and hard work are apparently not his style.
April 4, 201511 yr Still, I'm disappointed how it turned out. If he had kept his head down and worked his socks off, he could have been a valuable player for us. Oh well, modesty and hard work are apparently not his style. Of course but his attitude is all wrong, to many players have been like this and their careers go nowhere fast.
April 4, 201511 yr Mouthing off in the press about not wanting to sign a new contract? the gall . . .
April 4, 201511 yr To be honest though it does show everything that's wrong with the modern day footballer, contract talks should really be kept in house and Sterling clearly said done tjings he probably shouldn't have.
April 4, 201511 yr It is a shame, Lukaku had so much potential and now it looks like he's just turned into an expensive Cameron Jerome...
April 4, 201511 yr about not wanting to sign a new contract? the gall . . . The comment was based on what my Liverpool supporting mates have been saying on facebook, about the interview. I'm personally not keen on the lad, so can't be arsed listening through it.

April 4, 201511 yr says it all really I certainly seem to have hit a nerve with you. I have Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man United, Man City, Leeds etc, mates, largely because of where I live. Having this mix has created great banter over the last 45 years So, "what it says", I'm really not sure. My opinion on Sterling's attitude is certainly supported by many in the media. Having said that, comparing his attitude to Lukaku's is probably a step too far.
