August 20, 201312 yr Here are some comments Jose made " I know what I want from him. I don't know if I can get it. I want more responsibility and more ambition. When you have top class talent you cannot waste that talent. I've said many times, one thing is top talent another thing is top player" My take from that is that Jose realizes he may be dealing with a prima-donna. If Hazard fails to take his advice, Jose will not hesitate in dealing with the situation. Well of course if you cut out the context in which Jose said that Hazard is working very very hard it sounds more sinister than it really is.

August 20, 201312 yr I think the main message is to go out and dominate games and start scoring more goals. With his pace, ball control and shooting power with both feet this should easily be possible.
August 21, 201312 yr He is just honestly saying what Haz can be because of his talent and I agree. Haz could be more direct and definetly shoot more. He has a brilliant shot. We've seen it too little IMO. We know Torres wont shoot so someone should...
August 21, 201312 yr I was just thinking this a bit further and I hope Hazard listens to Jose on this..why wouldn't he. Compare the careers and success of Robinho and Ronaldo for example. CR7 of the best on the planet and Robinho who looked like he can be the best on the planet. One of them is still at top and the other cooling off at Santos in the age of 29. Ronaldo decided to take his game to the next level and Robinho decided he still plays for himself. Hazard has those abilities. Question is which path will he choose. Joey Cole under Jose chose wisely and he was great for us for several years. I know it is not as black and white as it sounds here but Jose's words has a lot of weight in them.
August 21, 201312 yr Personally feel his ceiling will be a Ribery type player who is clearly talented enough, but might need an incentive to get him to CR's level. The responsibility of a designated pen taker which he had early last season would have helped to get that little extra from him.
August 21, 201312 yr Well Ribery was selected among the 3 best players in Europe so he is very good. Even mentioning him with Messi and CR is an honour. Hope Haz reaches that level. The things he needs to add is to think the team first, the result and be more direct.
August 21, 201312 yr if anything he thinks hazard is too shy on the pitch and needs to have more arrogance in his play that was what i took from it... it seems to be what he was saying: "I want to give him that responsibility and ambition, for the kid to be better and better and to express himself on the pitch match after match...he is working very, very hard. I’m very happy with the kid." i'm amazed that people have taken this as a dig at hazard's defensive play; for such an attacking player, he works incredibly hard defensively. i didn't expect that from him when he arrived but he has consistently put in a shift since he got here. i'd be amazed if jose was unhappy with that aspect of his game.
August 22, 201312 yr Ego is an interesting factor, while CR for example sometimes drives people nuts, Hazard is like the exact opposite, while he's not afraid to take people on, he passes a little too much, or dare I say he doesn't want to do it himself too many times and instead chooses to pass and let's someone else take the man on or else. You only have to watch him for five minutes and it's clear his technique and speed with the ball can only be matched by a few players in the world.
August 22, 201312 yr He started with a bang last season but this season it appears he will start slow and gradually grow, hopefully finding consistency. That's what I hope anyway as his performances recently although somewhat productive haven't been as good as he is right now. He's had 3 very good chances to score in the past two games and hasn't taken them. Soon as he starts scoring this season I have a feeling it's going to continue and continue..
August 22, 201312 yr He impressed me loads when we played Hull and what I saw of him last night was very good. Every time he picked the ball up players tried to foul him which I hope gets noticed soon. Him and Oscar look frightening and even when they don't play well can produce a moment of magic. Have a very good feeling about this season and how Mourinho moulds Hazard. Who in 2 years time will be in the top 5 players around.
August 23, 201312 yr I just wish he'd grow an ounce of confidence, when he's on his game he's a scintillating player and a superb outlet for us. He ties defenders in knots over and over again, and at times has the whole back four frightened to bits. As Stanley Matthews said 'when you've got the defender frightened, when you've destroyed his confidence...well you can do whatever you like with him'. Cannot wait to see his development under Jose.
August 23, 201312 yr People were talking about him having an ego but i haven't seen a single indication of ego on Haz. On top of that Luk and Kev in the interview by chelsea tv said Haz is joking all the time. He is working hard and has a skillset only maybe 5 or 10 players in the world have. Great player! Hope to see a full interview on him with him speaking English
August 31, 201312 yr Great performance last night, best this season thus far. Hopefully many more to come.
September 1, 201312 yr Love that Eden Hazard has so much to his game. His shot power is much greater than that of Mata as well that he is really a goal scoring threat beyond just his dribbling through teams.
September 3, 201312 yr sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/belgium-manager-questions-chelsea-medical-staff-as-hazard-breaks- This worries me, hope he is rested and dosen't play for the national side.
September 3, 201312 yr PhysioRoom.com Ltd@physioroom #Wilmots “Hazard was fit, but after a few minutes during training he was suffering from an Achilles tendon injury" #Belgium #CFC
September 3, 201312 yr How bad could be that injury? worst case scenario (a rupture), it can be pretty bad. but i imagine its nothing more than tendonitis
