Posted May 8, 201311 yr Do you think AVB should get a good welcoming, or more importantly do you think he will?Personally I thought his sacking was extremely unfair. He made some very good signings for the club and I think we would be in a healthier position in the league right now if we had stuck with. I guess the ends justified the means in the end though as we would have never have won 'the holy grail'. But look what has happened since- we have somehow ended up with Rafa.I think he deserves a good reception tonight, he had the best interests for the club and was definitely trying to build something positive. It's just unfortunate that it was all so rocky and he didn't help himself with the handling of Frank, Alex and Anelka. I think he was the right man but maybe a bit too early. Put it this way, if he had just done what he did at Porto now, most of us would be thinking of him as a potential Chelsea manager.
May 8, 201311 yr He did nothing why he was here and has done nothing since. I think his return should pass without much of an acknowledgement from the crowd, we have have better things to be focusing our energies on this evening.
May 8, 201311 yr No champions league win = no hazard at Chelsea, nor Oscar and some of the other signings the prize money afforded us.
May 8, 201311 yr Maybe the fans could all get together and do that "whaaaaaooooooooooo" chant that's done before the goalkeeper takes a goal kick. But, instead of the 'whaaaaoooo', we all give him back the irritating 'frog in the throat' sound that he does during every interview, for the entire 90 minutes. "errrrrrmmmeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhh"
May 8, 201311 yr After reading sky sports today I think he should get a hostile reception. According to sky he slated Lamps and claimed Chelsea are classless with no style?!

May 8, 201311 yr He could have been good for us long term or he could have dragged us further into decline…who knows. Winning the CL with Robbie makes me not care so much that he wasn’t given the time I reckon he should have been given but then Robbie fell on that old sword too.Reception wise he should get the same treatment as other opposition managers for our rivals get as that is what he is, he wants to take a top 4 finish away from us so we should want him to fall flat on his spuds loving face. There is only one true Portuguese Boss at the Bridge and he is far better groomed than AVB.Chant Jose tonight, because the gaffer is coming home.
May 8, 201311 yr Robbie fell on that old sword too. That old sword is claiming alot of lives. Someone really needs to move it or at least put up a sign "beware of sword". Edited May 8, 201311 yr by Guest
May 8, 201311 yr Do you think AVB should get a good welcoming, or more importantly do you think he will? No and No
May 8, 201311 yr The reaction to AVB should be entirely indifferent, the reaction to his team should be fiercely negative.
May 8, 201311 yr AVB is a nobody and Roman was right to sack him. He was ruining Chelsea and his treatment of Legends like Lampard and Drogba was disgraceful. The man is bitter and twisted because the same players he treated like crap went on and played their hearts out for Chelsea and won us the CL Trophy, in extraordinary circumstances. AVB is a joke, tonight lets be loud and proud chanting for Mourinho and show AVB, it's the Special One who belongs in the CFC dugout and no-one else!!
May 8, 201311 yr If we want to get a message across to AVB tonight, the best time to do that would be in the 16th minute. "One Di Matteo .."
May 8, 201311 yr If we want to get a message across to AVB tonight, the best time to do that would be in the 16th minute. "One Di Matteo .." That's for fat boy. AVB will get his chant on 90 minutes when we sing champions of Europe to the man consigned to another year of no CL football.
May 8, 201311 yr Anyone see him trying to get Luiz booked in the second half complaining to the ref about an elbow? Luiz went over to him to have a go aswell.

As well as ostracise Cole, Alex & Anelka, get the Chels TV man the sack, play a ridiculous high line. I feel nothing towards him tbh...
May 9, 201311 yr I am glad that Alex is doing well with PSG. He deserved better from AVB when he was here.
May 9, 201311 yr I am glad that Alex is doing well with PSG. He deserved better from AVB when he was here. We don't know if that was under AVB's instruction though. Look how we have vanquished Malouda as well, he's been with the youth team under both RDM and Benetiz this season. I think the Alex and Anelka situation may have arose as "club" decision rather than AVB.

Yep, the order to leave Malouda out is clearly from above FSW, I am sure he could have found a use for him in a few fixtures.
