I just don't get all the hype after 1 good game. Fair enough if it was Kennedy or RLC but Mikels been around for ages. It's not like he has turned into a great player through 1 game.

Exactly, you're not understanding the difference in hype and praise.

Over the years Mikel has had good and bad games......no one is perfect.! .....but yesterday he played superb and fully deserves praise. This is a fresh start for all of our players.....and we as fans should need to be more positive towards all our players even the likes of Mikel ! .IMO, would rather have Mikel instead of Matic at the moment, nothing against Matic (who was obviously superb last season) ..... we must wake up and realise that we are in a dog fight trying to climb the table, and need a calmer and more experienced head aka Mikel, as against Matic who lately bless him has been running around like a head-less chicken, not withstanding of course the great goal he scored at Everton.

He's actually had a good couple of games, like many I'm not his biggest fan but he is showing what an important squad player he can be when players like Matic aren't at their best.

Nice bloke but I've never been a great fan of Mikel as most of my posts about him testify, but I have to admit the last couple of games he has looked half decent.

Personally I wouldn't see Mikel getting in many prem teams or worth over 10m if we are lucky.

Real Madrid might come in for him.
