November 8, 201510 yr England won ten out of ten games during qualifying for the Euro finals next summer. You seriously overrate the African nations national teams. Irregardless they will still be knocked out by a sh*t team
November 8, 201510 yr Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but certain African teams being sh*t and the England team being sh*t are not mutually exclusive......
November 8, 201510 yr The way you people hate players of different nationality is the reason why England is a sh*t football team I only dislike Pakistan players & that is there cricket team. You could be right about England though.
November 8, 201510 yr Irregardless they will still be knocked out by a sh*t team In my ceaseless quest for perfection in the use of English, I must let you know there is no such word as "irregardless". The word you are looking for is "regardless". If you are insinuating in any way that England will be knocked out by Scotland.........then yes, you may be right.
November 8, 201510 yr In my ceaseless quest for perfection in the use of English, I must let you know there is no such word as "irregardless". The word you are looking for is "regardless". Sorry moi, but you are wrong. I got this from wikipedia: Irregardless is a word commonly used in place of regardless or irrespective, which has caused controversy since the early twentieth century, though the word appeared in print as early as 1795.[1] Most dictionaries list it as "nonstandard" or "incorrect" usage, and recommend that "regardless" should be used instead. if you want more about this word, here is a link. Carry on!!!
November 9, 201510 yr Sorry moi, but you are wrong. So.most dictionaries correctly describe it as "incorrect" . I rest my case. The prefix "IR" like "IM" "IG" and "IN" give the adjective its opposite meaning. However many times it is misused, it still remains incorrect. Since regardless ends with a negative suffix, it makes no sense at all to put a negative prefix in as well. Carry on!!! Oops I have put this inside your comment, rob, and can't work out how to extract it.
November 9, 201510 yr Oops I have put this inside your comment, rob, and can't work out how to extract it. I had this same discussion with you about a year ago, and while I was adamant at the time that irregardless is standard, more than likely I think you're quite right now - as you say it also makes no sense. Irrespective can be used instead. Edited November 9, 201510 yr by Teritus
November 9, 201510 yr Composure? Strength? Simple but effective and he was pretty good in Munich, plus you don't stay at Chelsea for nearly ten years, under numerous managers, if you offer nothing. I was literally going to say, the time he has been here and the players and managers that have come and gone yet hes still here and still gets game time, it's not a fluke, he's doing something right.
November 9, 201510 yr The way you people hate players of different nationality is the reason why England is a sh*t football team Dude your comments are usually very well put and I enjoy reading them but I have to pipe up here, there's a lot of reasons why our national team is sh*t but hating players that aren't English isnt one of them lol. It doesn't make any sense either
November 9, 201510 yr When Nigeria won the Afcon with Mikel being outstanding, they played against sh*t teams right? Stop hating Mikel and get a life! Africa is a continent full of awful teams. They have never and will never challenge the European or South American greats, including England. When you're trying to laud Mikel as an outstanding player, it surely highlights how terrible the standard is.
November 9, 201510 yr Mickel has been good for Chelsea, Chelsea has been very good for Mickel, it has been of benifit to both.
November 10, 201510 yr Wallosh, your last 4 or 5 posts in here have been some of the most ludicrous I've seen on the internet in some time. Burkino Faso, who didn't win a game at the African Cup of nations this year, would trash England? Playing the race card? All because Mikel is overrated?
December 19, 201510 yr I think I saw a different Mikel today. Looked like he wanted to get on the score sheet
December 19, 201510 yr From what i have seen of England in recent times, Togo, Burkina Faso, Mali will easily tear England to pieces. I won't even like to include Nigeria, Cotedivoire, Ghana or Algeria. Shows how sh*t England his. Many teams will beat them with ease. Costa Rica? ^^^ word salad.
December 21, 201510 yr https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wTZDkJ0Rs2U I've always said Mikel is good under pressure, being closed down.
December 21, 201510 yr I really don't understand the sarcastic banter at the expense of Mikel in this thread The guy is a footballing God, a Legend, a once in a generation Miracle maker the only reason I see him not making our starting 11 is to keep the League competitive.
December 21, 201510 yr I think I saw a different Mikel today. We can but hope. Edited December 21, 201510 yr by Nibs
December 21, 201510 yr https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wTZDkJ0Rs2U I've always said Mikel is good under pressure, being closed down. Love that from Mikel.
December 26, 201510 yr Mikel speaks! Talks about his love of Chelsea and Guus: "I am so happy & proud of the amount of games I've played for Chelsea - I'm using these games to win trophies & medals.“"For the past 10 years we have helped build the reputation of this club and Chelsea is up there in world football.“ "I also want to push on and see how many more appearances I can get. I am so proud of what I have achieved and I still want to keep going at Chelsea.“"For me it has been a great time here, I still enjoy it and ever since I walked into Chelsea I knew this was the place for me.""Guus is still the same man. He likes to get involved in training, have a bit of banter but at the same time it is serious business.“"Guus is always like a father figure, speaking to the players individually, putting an arm around them and getting feedback from us.""Guus is going to demand a lot from the players, push everyone to the maximum in training so that we perform well in matches.""In matches Guus wants his teams to react when you lose the ball, and then play and create a lot of chances to win games.""Also to finish the chances because we have been playing some good football but not getting the goals we deserve.""He wants us to get into the box and make sure we get onto those crosses that are coming in. That will bring changes to the play.""It is always important to have someone who was there before. Steve Holland was there and knows how that team has been playing.""It can help the new manager. Eddie Newton is a great guy, a great motivator in training and likes to push the players to work hard.""We have to win every game now. The top four is still achievable, we can still do it so why not? It is not beyond our reach.""The cups are always important. We are still in the CL, the FA Cup will start very soon so we have to take those very seriously." December 26, 201510 yr anyone else think he should be pushed further forward? didn't he always use to prefer playing the attacking role in his early days here?
December 26, 201510 yr anyone else think he should be pushed further forward? didn't he always use to prefer playing the attacking role in his early days here? +1 on that ... I've always wanted to see this happen .. just to understand why we paid £17m for him as a raw 17 year old and went to all that trouble to over-turn the Manchester United "contract". The Nigeria coach (forget which one) always reckoned Mourinho made the wrong call by turning him into a defensive midfielder ...
December 26, 201510 yr The Nigeria coach (forget which one) always reckoned Mourinho made the wrong call by turning him into a defensive midfielder ... All of them believed as much, but Siasia was the most vocal about it.
December 26, 201510 yr All of them believed as much, but Siasia was the most vocal about it. Yeah that Siasia really knows his stuff compared to that Mourinho fella.
