Being voted the 2nd best player in the under 20 world cup doesn't mean much either. Plenty of players have done the same and haven't gone on to achieve much. Potential is just that, potential. Mikel is overly-criticised by Chelsea fans, but to insinuate that it is down to his nationality is utter bollocks. Suggesting people are xenophobic because they criticise a player is downright stupid. My advice is to read what youve written and consider how it will come across before you submit it. 

Quite rightly, Chelsea fans are sick and tired of being accused of being racist/xenophobic, and comments like yours on a chelsea forum aint going to go down too well!

Well, yeah actually, when Nigeria won the Afcon they did play against sh*t teams. Burkina Faso, Zambia, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Mali and then Burkina Faso again in the final. All of these teams apart from Ivory Coast are poor teams.

 

If anybody need's to get a life it is you. You can't accept that people don't rate Mikel, you come across as a pathetic little fanboy. Anybody that dares to criticise Mikel, you get all personal.

 

And like it has been said many times now, nobody hates Mikel, a lot of us just don't think he is good enough. As a person, Mikel has come across very likable and seem's to just get on with his career in a very professional way. There is nothing to hate about the guy from what i have seen, but at the same time, i don't rate him that highly as a footballer.

I don't rate England that much right now but England beat better teams than the teams you mentioned in their European qualifying group.
