What is it with ex-Chelsea this week? Clarke, AVB & Franco all gone.

 

Still maintain it should have been Watford that went up last season, they were the best footballing side in that division by a mile. Had they gone up they'd have been more competitive than Palace and it also would have given Chalobah a full season in the PL.

Interesting he has resigned, not been sacked.

 

I know they are mid table this year at the moment but it that to do with the FA changing the loan rules after last season, did it have a big effect on his squad?

You've got to credit Watford for the way they've handled this, it's obviously a 'jump before pushed' scenario but in this day and age most managers don't get to exit gracefully.

 

As for Franco, what he does as a manager will probably never mean much to me because it will more than likely pale into insignificance in comparison to what he's done for us as a player. He could pack it in altogether or spend his Saturdays coaching twelve-year-olds on Hackney Marshes, it simply doesn't matter.

 

Although I would love to see him at West Brom...
