Courtois will be on loan again next season, Koke wants to stay at Atletico and they will be under no financial pressure to sell after Costa.

 

Think Shaw will go to Manchester United, he wouldn't beat Dave into the team and we aren't looking to blow the required ~£30m on a left back.

I can see there being alot of these types of threads up until the start of next season.

I really dont think we need shaw especially for the price he's commanding, interesting to see if zouma comes back here though

Can't see why people want to change the best defence in the league? 30 mil for shaw is stupid money, don't think he's worth it. Cech is still better than Courtois for me, with goalkeepers people get carried away when they don't see their mistakes like we do with Cech week in week out, plus we could have another de Gea on our hands with him, a lot more physical in the prem who knows how well deal with it.

I would like Luiz/matic in the middle, maybe wit van ginkel coming in at times but everyone acts like we need a passing midfielder desperately, Luiz can pass the ball quite well and is growing more and more into the roll, as for matic I think we saw glimpses of his passing ability on Sunday, better than people give him credit for.

I wouldn't change much going forward either except the obviously brining in a striker, costa being the likely buy.

People seem to think new = better, that's my attitude when I play FIFA, but in reality if its not broke dont fix it, we have the likes of Willian, schurrle and Salah who all look like they will improve the more they get used to the prem (the latter two more so than Willian) lets not forget we're 7 games from a double without a striker, were one player short of a great team.

I understand what you mean but for me Shaw is too good to let him go anywhere else. Our defense has been great this season i agree, but i would still rather see a proper full back play where Ivanovic is playing. I think Shaw is a pretty good defender, he isn't all about getting forward a putting in crosses. I don't see why it would really cause any problems for our defense if he was bought in. He could be the answer to our LB position for 10-15 years, i say go for it.

Spot on. Although we need to buy shaw he wouldn't be getting in my eleven straight away. In my opinion he will be another bale. Won't impress much at first but if we stick by him eventually he will come good and in a big way.

Ah gotcha, read it too quickly and thought that was just a reference to the team selection as a whole. Not enthused by Costa then?

Not much different from the current squad to be honest, MVG and Romeu brought back into the squad to play next to Matic, PVA and Bertrand to fight it out at left back and a new striker like Costa and Lukaku as second choice.

Do you actually think he would improve us with our current system and style of play?

The above would be my team as well - only exception is Ramires. Whilst his passing has always gotten a lot of stick, it was always the tenacity, workrate and driving runs that made up for it.

He has been winning the ball back a lot less this season, seems to foul players all the time and pick up bookings, leaving you wondering if he is gonna get himself sent off.

He hasn't been making those fantastic runs, storming past opposition players either. Decision making is off as well.
