Koke linked with Chelsea switch

If think every player in Spain has a release clause in their contract, I think I remember reading once that it's a rule/law that they have to.

Interesting.

Will no doubt be a huge amount given his potential and current ability.

Seems like he will become a brilliant player, shame he will likely never play for us. Although a new contract is the final nail in the coffin, I think signing Fabregas was ultimately the end of any potential Koke to Chelsea deal.

Koke and Varane? Surely we aren't that lucky...

With Ashley leaving and us unable to trust Bertrand, a new left back was crucial.

Bertrand was a perfectly adequate backup at left back, he just wanted first team football, which he was never going to get with Azpilicueta ahead of him.

Luis must have thought he stood a great chance to make it as no 1 LB otherwise I don't see why he would have moved.

It's a shame as he looks a quality option whenever he does get a chance.

Chelsea was targeting him last summer but it was between him and Fabregas. So since Fabregas is now on the team I don't see where Kole would fit.

For Atletico he plays on the left more often than not (although was playing at centre mid against Leverkusen), but he is versatile enough to play more or less anywhere in midfield. Imagine this:

----------------Fabregas-----Matic

-------Koke------Willian/Oscar-----Hazard

-------------------------Costa

That's the beauty of him. Gives us so many options. Personally, I would go with

----------------------Koke-----Matic
--Cuadrado/Willian---Fabregas-----Hazard
----------------------------Costa

I see, I may be wrong but I still don't him being signed unless we will sell Willian or Cuadrado.... and

I'm not sure if Jose wants Fabregas in CM. He plays pretty well right next to Matic.

But if Ramires leaves than we will need backup so who knows. I've read Real Madrid wants him pretty bad.

Supposedly his buyout clause after signing a new contract is around €60m, which is about £43.5m. I know he did great last season bit what about his current form? Is he worth anywhere near that kind of money and where can we potentially use him? I'd love to hear from those, who regularly watch Atletico and know the player well enough.

If Willian is worth 30m pounds, he definitely is worth 43m pounds. Excellent passer of the ball, great vision, technique and is creative and a dead ball specialist. What more you can ask?

He's the future of spanish midfield alongside Isco.

Him or Pogba takes our midfield to the next level should definatly be looking at either of them.

Agreed, we need a true cm, we miss frank to be honest. We have a defensive mid and a deep lying playmaker, my feeling is that a 4-3-3 with a new player to join matic and fab would take our midfield up a notch. Imo, vidal would be ideal, prob could get him for 25-30 too.

The main thing we need is a midfielder who scores 15+ goals a season. Koke has a whopping 2 goals this season in La Liga.

Andrew Vorinon, Claudio Pizzaro, that is all.

Some players just don't fit in well in certain leagues. The French league has never been one of the best leagues in the world but that didn't stop us signing players like Essien, Drogba and Hazard.
