Micah Richards looks like he is on his way to Fiorentina, Arsenal looking at Mattia Destro

Hearing rumours of Negredo being allowed to leave with no replacement, surely you lot woudlnt be happy with that?

This Falcao to United loan really makes Arsenal look bad, If United can attract him, Why can't they?

Gotta be wages, Falcao clearly went to Monaco for the money and United aren't shy to give out big wages

Theoretically i shouldn't be happy but if Mourinho can almost win the CL and Premier League with no strikers, If Pellegrini can't do anything close to that with 3 top class strikers, He's clearly not the long term solution.

Have we had 'Arry's deadline day car window interview yet?

No...sky guy was busy giving a another non-update to the studio when Harry drove straight past him...you could just see the guy thinking 'doh'

Wenger time wasting again.  We tried for Destro and Roma flat out refused.  They'd have to overpay massively.

Good point, although playing with 2 up top normally requires 4 strikers, Jovetic and Aguero could both be injury concerns at one point or another, perhaps a change of formation if there are only 3? The main thing is to keep Aguero fit anyway, brings so much when he's at 100%.

If he stopped playing 2 up top we might actually win in Europe for once, All the big teams play with one out and out striker, If we had to play a 4-2-3-1 formation, That would give us the chance of playing Lampard, Toure, Fernando/Fernandinho all in the same side. So instead of compromising the midfield which playing two up top means you have to do, We could pack the midfield and never face the reality of getting over run, Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala/Dem, Kolarov, Lampard,Fern/dinho, Silva, Toure, Nasri, Dzeko/Jovetic/Aguero.

United are sniffing around William Carvalho, Which would signal the end of their Vidal chase, Anyone know how good Carvalho is?, Haven't seen him and can't be bothered to youtube him.

He isn't too bad from what I've seen, plays as a defensive mid for Sporting Club so it would be good for us in regards to the CL... similar player to Fernando at Citeh

Only saw him for one game in the World Cup. The price tag looks steep and he doesn't seem like an out and out enforcer. That's really what United need.

He should do that against the top teams in the league and in Europe, especially away.  He did it at Stamford Bridge last season and it worked pretty well.  You only lost because of that ridiculous error from Nastasic and Hart.  You just can't play your usual system against Europe's elite and get away with it.

Then he's exactly what they need, Jesus, If they land him also, Not been a bad day for the rags.

Is he more like Fernando than Fabregas say? If he is like the former that would be a good buy for them

Quite refreshing to hear a Man City fan say this. I think that's exactly what is holding you back in Europe. 2 in midfield is just too risky, particularly when one of them (Yaya Toure) is a liability defensively/tactically.

BINGO, The option of playing the 4-2-3-1 means, Yaya can play as an attacking midfielder and we can have Lampard/Fernando/Fernandinho as the out and out holding players, None of those would need to go forward, The problem with Yaya holding is, He has to go forward also because of his steam train like runs.

I think the league is turning into a very exciting one this year. I am glad teams are strengthening in time to play liverbottle so they can receive a tidy hiding from a few unexpected teams.

Yeah have to agree that playing 4-2-3-1 would help in the big games, Toure given a role where the team wouldn't be punished if he's out of position, always have the option to go for two up top when chasing a game or playing a smaller team, like stoke...
