I'll wait for the 'drink responsibly' tag on the beer thread, and for a pop up whenever anyone mentions a bender or hangover, so the mods aren't jeopardising our health.

Time for morning coffee I think.

You're sort of getting it now. The notion of limiting liability. That is what the 'drink responsibly' tag is, and the 'this coffee is very hot' tag, on Starbucks cups, are for.

I find it strange someone would go out of their way to criticise the owners of a site for allowing Chelsea fans all over the world to watch their heroes in action.

It's not illegal and it will not lead to any action on the site from outside authorities, those who host the streams are the ones who could see action against them.

In any case this should be done through a report function or message to admin if someone has a problem with it, why complain on the main boards?

Is it an attention thing, is it to go against the grain for the sake of it or is there something else going on here?

In any case it just strikes me as very strange behaviour.

Well considering it's been going on for years and we're still here I'd guess not too. We have been threatened with legal action once and that was for posting the Premier League fixtures when they were announced... Copyright or something, who'd have thought?

I would agree that if any member (not solely directed at Crem by any means) does not like how the forum is run, the activity or the content then they should leave.

It's actually the things on the screen which are trademarked material,e.g. the Premier League logo, the icons and such that are on the overseas broadcasts used by companies like NBC etc. That's why the site would've got in trouble for the fixtures because I imagine the image had the EPL 'shield' logo on it.

Redcafe doesn't allow links to matches for that reason.

To watch their heroes without paying , and therefore fail to contribute to the coffers of their 'heroes'. To be more accurate.

Again - and can this be for the last time please. I am pointing out something this site should be doing to extend it's very existence in case (as is the case with the EPL wthat Gem mentioned) , someone comes along and gets it closed down because people like you fail to grasp very simple liability processes.

Keep telling yourself it's not illegal. Keep telling yourself the owners have no liability.  I'll keep laughing as you do.

It won't get closed down.

What do you know about running a site? I personally know a guy who runs a site 5 times the size as this and we have never had any trouble with links or threats to shut us down so don't talk rubbish.

You have made your point.

I'm sure Loz and Mod will be looking into it.

Well done, you are a hero, we need members like you here.

You don't get in trouble for sharing links, they are merely links. What one person does with them is at their discretion, solely.

That's certainly incorrect if the link you are posting is to a website hosting/streaming content from the USA.

I find it strange that people using a forum would be willing to put that forum's future at risk by linking to such things, especially in open forums.

All it needs is for an admin to tell people that if they must do so they should do it discreetly.

Right or wrong, you have a weird sense of humour.  :laugh2:

Him and THAT other one seem hell bent on criticising this forum and spoiling it for other members.

It's a complete joke.

I know quite a bit more than you do. I know the original owner of pistonheads.com (a HUGE site). Go and look at their rules. You'll notice one of them is that you are not allowed to make links to illegal sites.  I know owners of other sites too.

Funnily enough I've helped members of this site (and another one in the past) get tickets for f**king matches. What exactly have you done for this website?

To invoke Moi, have you even donated anything to the running of this site? Have you offered any help to members who are looking for advice on getting tickets for matches or what to do when going to a match?

Tell you what, we all know the answer to that so just ignore me.  :good2:

Not at all, it was just copied and pasted in a simple text format like this post. No logo's or badges.

Not at all, it was just copied and pasted in simple English.

Yep - that was the pistonheads issue. Some of the copyright owners are using bots to search for content that infringes their copyright in any way, shape or form these days,

This is boring, can we talk about football please.. Start a new thread if anyone wants to continue debating the legality or morality of streaming football.

Meanwhile, post season International friendlies, possibly the most pointless thing in football?

With Ings inbound at Liverpool will Balotelli leave, where does he go next if so?

Sure you do... lol

You are pathetic lad.

Actually, I agree with you. Too many people who know nothing throwing cheap comments in here and burying their heads in the sand.

I propose we move this to the thread that is explicitly about streaming in the internet and computing sub forum.

Women's football.

Someone will take a punt on him. He's a talented bloke but a prat. He's Ibra just at sh*tter clubs.

To us obviously!

Will be almost impossible to move on Mario.

Maybe a far east or US team will gamble on him but as far as European clubs go I can't see anyone being daft enough to bring him in.

Seeing as AC Milan took a £8m hit on what they paid City for him, Liverpool would probably also need to maybe take a hit on his fee too.

I can imagine someone like Napoli maybe looking to take him on for £12m but he's running out of options with regards to bigger clubs now.

A lot like Rickie Lambert, Rogers tried to shoehorn him into a system he was never suited too but I can't imagine many of the top clubs will overlook what a bad season he's had. He doesn't look like he can even be bothered any more.

Nothing surprises me anymore :-( Still, I don't expect next season's deadly duo at Chelsea to be "Falotelli".
