I think he'll always be better as an impact player coming on upfront when they need a goal. As a midfielder he's poor, can't pace, doesn't particularly hold the ball up well etc. I can't believe there were people who wanted him here a few years back, thank god we didn't sign him.

Hope you aren't basing that off those two shots from Sterling, he's always been fairly poor in front of goal.
