I also have a feeling that we will be in for one more big surprise, the same was said last season before we stole willian away from the spurs. I'm still holiding out for pogba would be an absolute force to be reckoned with in all area if we could add him to that midfield of matic and fabregas. Costa Lukaku and bamford up front would be IMO a very good balanced strikeforce.

I'm happy enough, depending on who leaves. Although we have some major risks if Costa or Matic are injured.

Just because he says the spending is done doesn't mean they haven't already come to terms with a player and are waiting to announce. I would expect more signings.

If the Lukaku to Everton reports are confirmed we will go into next season with only Costa and Torres as recognised strikers.

If Lukaku and Courtois are staying then I am happy with the squad

Filepe Luis, Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois in addition to all the wonderful talent at the club already.

I reckon Lukaku will leave and we will be very stupid to not bring another striker in if thats the case (Drogba doesn't count).

Providing lukaku stays we don't really need any other players, of course a ramires for pogba upgrade would be great, but it's not essential.

True, he does love to chat s*it!! But I gotta say, at this stage our team is looking pretty well rounded. Any new players would be a luxury.

Definitely, but as most of us have said only if Lukaku stays otherwise then we look weak upfront in terms of depth

Btw I wasn't patronising Shed Enders when I said 'bless'... It was aimed at Jose for his continued statements that are rarely shall we say... Accurate.

Don't believe him for a second, but if the squad were to stay as it currently is I would be over the moon.

I'm very satisfied as long as we keep hold of Lukaku. I think we should only look at another player if the right one becomes available for the right price, whatever that may be. I can see a lot out going on loans and hopefully one or two permanently. And although Jose is fond of a white lie, you have to say we came into this window needing a CF, LB and CM and that's what we've bought, for a reasonable price, with a full preseason for all of them.

I hope he stands by his words and plays some u21 players. It would be nice to actually see some included into the first team. Boga and brown are probably too young, but would be nice to see them break through in a couple years or so. Baker, van ginkel and Bamford would be the obvious choices as under 21's to break through into the first team next season.

Well basically if we're after any player who is likely hard to sign, who doesn't indeed sign, then Mourinho can just say he was happy enough anyway and quote his interview.

 

If we do randomly sign somebody big name like Pogba, then he will say something like the player was too good to turn down and would improve any team. I would be more than happy with what we have should it stay this way, but if Lukaku leaves surely we would be looking at a replacement, and also I think most of us would take Pogba too if the club could financially manage it

I would be more than happy with this squad - doesn't mean there won't be anymore signings though. I'm pretty sure in January he said something like "The transfer window is open but not for us" or something like that. Matic, Salah and Zouma in. Mata and KDB out.

I'd love another midfielder and a CB. Still feel we are lacking in those areas.

Need to have 3 strikers on the books at least.

I think with nasty goings on in Russia and Ukraine and the threats to freeze the assets of oligarchs close to Putin, you may have seen the end of our spending for some time.

I don't think it will affect us one bit.
