Michael Owen: What a c**t

Featured Replies

Doesn't seem nearly as c**tish as others I could think of. He just played for c**tish teams and seems, like you said, boring as f**k. He should stay away from microphones.

Are you not entertained?

By Michael Owen or by this thread? Neither.

I don't hate the bloke. He's not even hateable, such is the level of his c**tery.

Not so much of a c**t for me he's just an absolute idiot who has no idea what he is even talking about.

A great example of just because you're a good footballer doesn't mean you can be a good pundit, I wish they would actually go for nobodies that actually knew a thing or two about about football rather than these brain dead idiots like Owen, Ferdinand and Redknapp.

He's boring as hell but have you heard Frank Sinclair's commentary on Chelsea TV? Watch our pre season game against Malaysia ? The 8-1 one I think. We'd have posession in our own half and then it'd be in the oppo goal by the time he's finished a sentence.

He's no c**t. He's lots of other things but the word c**t demands widespread recognition that the object is one: Adrian Chiles, Camel face, that 'Jihadi-John' c**t, Andy Carroll, etc

Just because you think he's a boring commentator and played for two teams you dislike/hate, it doesn't make him a c**t. I think he's boring too and I don't like Manchester United or Liverpool but I'm not obnoxious enough to think that makes someone a c**t.

That depends (a) on your definition of the word c**t, along with the context in which it's used, and (b) how seriously you take a thread such as this.

Michael Owen the commentator fits in perfectly with my definition, in the context of this type of thread, which really shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Fair point BF; I tend to view that word as a grave, nay - punch up inducing - insult but I see what your intention was.

My mistake. I had assumed that people would realise that these threads had more than a touch of the Derek & Clive's about them. But of course I can see how easily my intention might be misconstued.

And so I shall now give my word that this will be the last of my W.A.C. threads

(for October)

I'd agree but I'd also add poor commentator to that list

Yup. Tiresome. I once read an interview with Owen and he said that he had never spent more than six quid on a haircut. Some people would admire that as remaining down to earth. I can't help but think such riches are wasted on such a dullard.

He also recently said on twitter recently he had only ever watched eight films in his life as they are "boring".  I find that absolutely astonishing!  I suspect he may not read books.......

In that case he is definitely an illiterate c**t!  Nae doot aboot it!

Depends on the films. I have been known to squint at my watch in the cinema, hoping the end, mine or the film's, end was nigh.

Oh I don't deny that SOME films are boring but to dismiss them all as boring is astonishing!
