Don't forget lads, with city in hot pursuit any interest from us drives up the price they may have to pay.

Also keep in mind that Sterling is a decent player and young so if we did have to pay 40 or 50m to land him; part of that money could be seen as us paying to keep city from improving their squad.

Makes the cost a lot easier to swallow.

I'm not sure why people get so caught up on the price of players these days, of course they're all over priced particularly if they're english. We got £40m for David Luiz ffs! But at the end of the day it's not my money, I trust the club have people in place in to know the money we can spend without breaching FFP. If the club is happy to pay it then I won't complain, I'd like to have him here if I'm honest I rate him very highly, would really solve our RW problem.

This made me laugh, they call him "The Mercenary", despite his agent saying he wouldnt stay for 900k a week, something an actual mercenary clearly would do.

I do love how quickly fan's change their opinions on players, last year he was the best thing since sliced bread, now he's leaving "ah he's crap anyway". 

 

We're all guilty of it to an extent but the dippers are up there with the worst.

Sky Sports reporting that we are not willing to bid above 40M for him, and Manchester City has come in with a fresh bid of 40M. 

 

Can i just say, JM will not pay that sort of money so he will not come to us. Also he is a loose cannon off the field so JM won't gamble.

 

Presume City are in foul of FFP with Sterling & Pogba
