Cuadrado to rival Torres?

Featured Replies

Yeah I think that's been confirmed with his comments before and after he came to Chelsea.

However it looks like or is certainly being made out to look like Cuadrado would rather stay in Italy than come back to England.

If he's staying in Italy just sell him I'm sick of all theses players on loan

Its' annoying but seems to always happen with us especially to Italian sides.

Every year Cuadrado's price goes down so we should really be cashing in instead of loans.

Latest I read was that AC Milan were looking to take him on a years loan wit a forced purchased at the end of it.

you wrote that didnt you, you contacted Milan, pretended to be his agent and offered him to them.

Yeah, Berlusconi told me "f**k off, we don't want that useless prat".

Worth a try.

Prediction: Cuadrado is going to become a very valuable player for us this season: 12 goals, 7 assists.

No chance.

He's only ever hit double figures of goals once in his career up to now and there's no way he'd manage it at Chelsea where he's going to be second choice at best.

I don't rate Willian at all, so I give him every chance to make that RW his own, especially with Conte at the helm who clearly sees something in him.

Cuadrado is far trickier than Willian, and it was evident last night.  Willian is easily a harder worker and more suited for physical play.  If Cuadrado puts it together though we may very well see him overtake Willian as first choice.

Can Cuadrado adjust?  Does he have the boot to be a legit goal scoring threat?  If we play wingbacks will Cuadrado AND Willian be on the field?  All questions that need to be answered.

It's very early to be drunk lol

I'm on about you not rating Willian thats your choice but I don't agree. Jury is still out on Juan and I know conte rates him but saying you don't rate our player of the year lol come on.

I agree wish Gosha. Willian ain't nothing special, not an elite winger.

I know what you mean but not he's fault the rest didn't turn up

He was good without being great. The rest of the team were poor so it wasn't a tough award to win. More of a reflection of how bad the rest of the team was than how good he was.

I honestly think Costa should have won player of the year for us...

Willian worked hard and hit a couple bangers in the beginning of the year from free kicks.

At this time Willian is above Cuadrado...he's a proven prem player and very versatile.  But it wouldn't shock me if Cuadrado displaces him in the starting lineup come December.

Costa was overweight for half of last season, he took his frustration out on the manager when things weren't going well, he rarely got a goal in the early months, you don't reward a player for these things.

All fair points.  I'm not saying you reward him, I'm saying pretty objectively he was our best player last year, at least as an offensive threat.  And from what I remember, every game Costa was out there running the channels and chasing balls when no one else was up for it.  He came in overweight, but so did lot's of players.  The whole bib thing is a different story, I'm with you on that childish behavior.

I remember Costa getting in the faces of our opposition and playing with fire even at the start of last season...something I wish a few more of our players had in them.  But I'm off it for now, this is the Cuadrado thread so not trying to derail.

Willian doesn't score nor does he provide assists. Far from being a winger.

He's a glorified workhorse. Ramires on the wing

I must have imagined the 11 goals and 10 assists last season. Now someone will tell me all the goals were freekicks.
