No Oscar, no good

Featured Replies

Way too many people wrote Oscar off at the beginning of the season, all clowns.

Literally the best passage of play so far for us this year was the first game with Oscar in before he got subbed, since then we've been beyond useless. He does so much for this team on both ends of the pitch. Thank Jose (god) he's back.

A fit and in form Oscar, in my opinion, is key to getting the team back on track.

Thought he was great tonight. Hope that's a sign of things to come - HAS to start against Arsenal.

fantastic today, lead us from the front by harassing their defence and midfield. cant wait til hes back fit and occupying that no. 10 spot

It was a free-kick and it was a cross-shot. A moment of individual brilliance that broke the opposition as opposed to a constructed chance.

When your luck runs dry (as we've seen in the league) those early goals disappear and teams get confident and resolute against us as the clock runs down.

Maybe it's just fluke but Oscar seems to have a knack for these early, game breaking goals that break a team's spirit, allowing Chelsea to dictate momentum. Willian's contributions tend to feel like icing on the cake.

Mourinho played him in central midfield along Fabregas and I've rarely seen Oscar have a better game than this one in the last 9 months or so! He should definitely play deeper more often!

He makes our team tick, we seem to move the ball a lot quicker and keep possession better with him in the side, good to have him back seriously underrated player.

What about when he has the ball at his feet?

He is the link that connects the defense to the offense.

Ironic that Cesc had a decent/good game today as did Matic when Oscar was back as cam

I dont think you know what ironic means. Oscar playing and others benefitting is not ironic

Dont think you understand what it means.

People on this board underestimate Oscar and said anyone can do his job, which in reality, isn't true.  Oscar is the best player in the cam role for Jose's tactics and is the reason why we allowed 0 goals today again.

Playing against 9 men had nothing to do with it, of course.

him playing well is absolutely nothing new,he is a fantastic player, who when on form is one of the best players in the league,if he can add consistency he will be one of the best players in the world,i wouldnt trade him for anybody

Good response.  Too bad everyone else got it outside of you.

Arsenal had 9 men for the full 90 minutes? Wow, missed that.
