Great, i really don't see how me saying KDB is a better player than Oscar and Willian is "talking bollocks". 

 

You said he sh*ts on them though. To me that carries a certain level of meaning on how much better.

 

And half this forum thinks he's the second coming of Lampard and the other half apparently underrates him for thinking he's not.

That's not really correct, Stim.

I really liked De bruyne and was gutted to see him go, I said at the time when I defended Jose letting Mata go that I found it easier to understand as I knew exactly what Mata had to offer and Jose did give him chances to prove that he could do what he wanted of him but just didn't quite manage it.

 

With Kevin I felt he didn't get the chances.

 

Having said that I feel his attitude and things he is rumoured to have said about needing to be first choice etc made it more his decision and I doubt he would have ever got the leeway from Jose to improve with that sort of attitude.

 

The fee we got was a profit and I can understand if he really did say the things he said that it was fully within Joses rights to let him go even though he looked to me like a player that would improve and be a top player at some stage.

 

saying that though and likeing him as I did if it came to a choice between keeping him or Oscar, just like the Mata situation I'd have kept Oscar if it was my decision.

 

I'd have kept Shuurle and never brought in Cuadrado as well but hindsight is a wondeful thing.

Kevin De Bryune is a quality player and he sh*ts on Oscar and Willian. Now tell me something i didn't already know. People really underrate De Bruyne on this forum.

Tbh if De Bruyne had still been playing for us last season and city offered £55m or whatever it was I would have sold him. I watched him play for Wolfsburg and while his stats were impressive he lacks the explosiveness and skill of the likes of Hazard, Robben, Ribery, Messi etc. The only mistake we have done is to sell him without a considerable sell on clause.

Needless to say, De Bruyne was only POTY in the Bundesliga because Ribery and Robben are injured all the time. And generally the people who vote there will vote for any half decent player who does not play for Bayern. The animosity towards Bayern is quite big in some parts of Germany.

I thought he was excellent but there's no point having threads on him where everyone can argue and lie about how they were desperate for him to start when he was here. He's a great player who will do very well at City, let's forget about him and focus on our own players. By all means admire what a great player he is, but threads like this are ridiculous

I grew up in Germany, hold german citizenship and watch german football weekly. KDB is not worth the money that was paid for him, in my opinion.

KdB is a fantastic player, he was always going to be great. Was theor best offensice player yesterday imo. Ran the most, created the most and got a goal. His vision for a pass is fantastic. Its time to let it go though, hes not our player anymore and we got a pretty good squad ourselves. We made a good profit on him which played a large role turning us into league champs last year

He is just generally a better footballer,more intelligent and will score more goals get more assists and create more chances. I seen KDB make some lovely passes yesterday in just that 1 game passes that i have never seen Oscar do for us in 3 years.

I don't think he is worth the amount City paid for him however in my opinion he is better than what we have bar Hazard.
