Ruben will score.

A new hero will be born, just when we need him.

Believe.

And maybe Baba to make that assist too?

That will be epic.

A sobering thought from the BBC

"No team with eight points from their opening eight games has finished the season above fifth in the Premier League, meaning Chelsea will have to make history to even qualify for next season's Champions League, let alone defend their title."

?So let's aim to avoid relegation and win CL.

I would be interested to know how many points those teams were from the top four though. Stats don't always tell a full story.

FFS you are a cheery sod aren't you

Why don't you jog on and support a winning outfit then.

In fact if this poor run sorts out the wheat from the chaff I for one can see

some benefit from it having happened

Notice I use past tense

3 points will be had by Chelsea today.

See how easy it is to have your pint glass half full.

Carefree mother F-ers

I see you've joined the Prediction Police.

I've thought for long tine that ramires would be a great right back. If baba doesn't come in, then I'd be pretty excited to see how ramires at right back would work.

Rambo at rb i hope to God not...he gives away unessercry freekicks in the middle of the pitch just think of the damage he could do in and around the box....anyway a nice big 6/7 nil would nice today..KTBFFH!!!

Lots of optimism for a big score and would be a real confidence turner if we could. However not beating Villa at home would be devastating so I'd take a scrappy 2-0 at this point. I'm hoping Costa will be back focused on playing football rather than just being a wind up. Also excited at prospect of RLC starting.

I'll whisper this because it's heresy but I'm quite enjoying watching the spuds, Paunchytino has them playing entertaining football and I'd really like to see Liverpool bomb (don't mention the war).

Agree with optimism. Between the words 'however' and ' I' (hope Costa) I put my fingers in my ears and chanted la la la la ... agree with you regarding Spuds.

Chelsea team v Aston Villa: Begovic; Baba, Terry ©, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Loftus-Cheek, Ramires; Wilian, Fabregas, Pedro; Diego Costa.

Chelsea subs v Aston Villa: Blackman, Cahill, Matic, Mikel, Oscar, Hazard, Remy.

Hazard dropped. Wow, bold move.

Ooh yes, Baba!

On one hand I fear for Ruben today, dropped into an under performing team, by a manager who doesn't usually give youngsters much of a chance.

But on the other hand, Iv'e seen enough of him now to know he's already a quality player and by next June he could be both a main stay in our first XI and in the national teams XI.

Who know's, maybe even a capt armband or two ?
