Once again I'm looking at Willian and struggling to see what he contributes in attack from open play.

Hazard, Oscar and Pedro have all had a shot on target but Willian hasn't even had a shot.

He just lacks bravery and creativity in the final third, always playing it safe and slowing down play.

Just get Costa on and whip crosses in, seems to be the only way we'll score. 

Respect to Bournemouth, they've been our equal. This could be the moment - if we don't get a result - that a top four position becomes a pipe dream.

 

It was and still is a pipe dream, win or not today our chances of a top 4 place went weeks ago.  First step is to get in the mix of the teams between 6 to 12 and kick on from there.........problem is 12th place is unreachable at the moment and unless something drastically changes in the next 45 mins we won't even be putting pressure on WBA.

Very poor first half from us, Mourinho going with Hazard upfront was a really stupid move. We have put 3 good crosses into the area, but because we don't have a striker, nobody is there to put it into the net.

Matic and Fabregas are playing the deeper midfield role horribly once again. Both have them have left huge gaps which has given Bournemouth so many chances.

We need to bring Remy or Costa on, take Oscar off, put Hazard behind the striker and maybe bring Loftus-Cheek on for Fabregas. Something needs to change because if we carry on like this then we won't win.

Tbf Scott, costa hasn't been getting on the end of crosses all season. Disappointed remy didn't start, but he is coming back from injury.

It also highlights why any young midfielder in our academy should flee for their lives(careers) as the older guys ovbiously can play as sh*t as they want and still play. See RLCs "run of games" etc.

Considering that we are playing with 6 midfielders, you'd expect our passing and linkup play to be a lot better.

I don't have a problem with Hazard playing up front, especially considering how poor Costa has been for a long time now, but we need to remember to play to his strengths and not send pointless high crosses into the box that he hasn't got a hope in hell of winning.

Normally I would agree but not today. He set up a chance for Hazard who messed it up by hesitating and whipped in some dangerous crosses as well. He's also probably been the only one that can actually pass and move properly.

Come on Chelsea wake your f**king ideas up. We're being outplayed by Bournemouth's second string side FFS.

Too much negativity here. The cherries are playing with intent, and we're in a dogfight! Problems for sure, but not a shambles! There will be NO easy matches this season. We will have to fight for every point.

 

 

Spot on as usual Thrives, a step down in our performance and maybe we have under rated the opposition a bit with premature talk of a resurgence but as I've said for a while now our recovery will be in baby steps, hopefully Jose has proved his point to Costa and he'll get the second half to show he can handle the treatment that he has brought on himself, that or we'll see Remy and have the media full of the fall out between the manager and striker again.

Because his passing is so basic.

First time he tried to hit a pass over ten yards in the attacking third he just played I straight to the opposition.

A decent half.

 

We just need to create more goal-scoring opportunities (like some of these) in the second half.

The way I see it, it's the usual no clue build up play.. Bournemouth even outplayed us at our own turf in that particular area when they managed to string out passes and forced thibaut to a great save.. 

 

JOse is really offering absolutely nothing in term of quality possession build up play.. shame with the players we have..

Throwing Costa on is an admission that the starting XI and tactics were wrong.

I just can't believe that the fact that Willian hasn't had a shot is a reason why he's been rubbish. He holds up the ball well considering most of the time it was either a crap ball into him from Fab or Matic or because there is no outlet.

Costa on but if the twat starts to mope about the box and look for a fight he should hauled straight off again.

Time to step up and show us you deserve your place instead of throwing your, bib, dummy and anything else out of the pram
